I think if the whmcs is installed in subfolder, it's hard to find out its legal or illegal license. Because if we enter the billing url to whmcs license cheker , its shows error.

Ex : http://www.theuniquehost.com/billing/ - It's shows error

I don't think you read properly what it is write here

Enter only the domain name where WHMCS is installed

For example if there was an install @ http://support.whmcs.com/, enter just support.whmcs.com as the domain

The domain should not include the www. prefix

I like the way you agreed that you are using illegal license but i don't agree that nothing can happen if reported. LOL whmcs is big company and they have own piracy preventing team. A single DMCA notice can let you down.
