Let's combine our minds in this thread and come up with all the ways we can make money by "helping" local businesses in our area using the Internet. I stress the word "help" because I don't want this thread to be about simply convincing local businesses to give you money, but how can we honestly help local businesses using the Internet and make money doing it? What Internet technology can actually help local businesses? Would they benefit from blogs, forums, podcasts, etc? If so, how? I have several ideas myself. I will share the first one and I will share the others as other people begin to participate. I will also continually update this first post and list all the ideas everyone has shared. Now let's mastermind... 1 (My 1st idea). Signup for audio acrobat at www.audioacrobat.com. Build a simple web page for a local business. Setup a testimonial line for them in your audio acrobat account. Give them the phone number for the testimonial line and offer a service to place audio testimonials on the simple web page you built for them for a monthly fee. If they get a lot of their customers to call in and leave testimonials to be placed on the web site, they could really increase their sales by promoting their web page. 2. ??? 3. ??? Regards, Brandon

Er. I'd do extortion, if it came to negotiation with small businesses. It would be easier to hire a few intimidators for $100, and then get that amount on a weekly basis.
