The ultimate marketing thread part 1

I have read a lot about marketing and found many great links on this forum. Therefore I thought I should give something back and put toghether a few big posts with everything about marketing. I guess many people already know a lot of these tips but I think there can be some value to put it all toghether in a post and maybe you can get something out of it. I will be starting with social media today. Hope you like it

    General Social Media

By social media I mean everything from twitter to stumbleupon and youtube. Basically everything you can use to connect with other people that are potential visitors to your blog. A great basic post about the whole idea to establish outposts on the social networks is this one at problogger.net: http://www.problogger.net/archives/2008/10/06/social-media-home-bases-and-outposts/

If you use Digg, Twitter, Stumbleupon or Plurk and have a blog. There is a great list here at problogger.net where you can find hundreds of other bloggers that use these sites that you can add as friends. http://www.problogger.net/271-stumbleupon-problogger-readers/
