There are some great deals for traffic like 10 billion hits for $9.95. It might get you zero conversions so I might prefer 10 Brazillian hits over 10 billion of these hits.

Traffic? Are you kidding me? Tell that to YouTube. They get tons of traffic and they LOSE money. That's right LOSE. They can't figure out a way to make it profitable. Why? People do to YouTube to watch things. They don't want to click ads or watch ads. Nobody wants to advertise there. All this is happening while MILLIONS of people visit the site

 

Can't they make tons of cash from CPM ads alone?

 

I agree, there are niches that seem to have low CRT and also ones that have low eCPM. Takes a lot of trial and error to get a good niche.

traffic the one thing I like to avoid when I am in my car and it's the one thing I am after adsense-wise

 

Adsense isn't good for YouTube, kids watch videos and there out they don't wanna linger around. Like someone else said YouTube would make a killing with CPM.

 

Ultimately the keys are traffic and ad placement. If you have both of those things maxed out then you're going to make good $$$.

Unfortunately, getting tons of unique traffic is probably one of THE hardest things to do on the internet.

 

From the short I have been here, there is no real quick and easy way to make money. But instead takes time and effort.

Hm... MILLIONS of traffic is very good, but not for all site (YouTube) but just for sites with content on good level of quality. That is what i think.

 

Making money with adsense is like...a job.

 

Traffic is key, if it's the right traffic.

I had my best month EVER in April, which totally blew away all of my expectations. I was leary of spending money out to advertising that I wasn't sure would work. I run a daily webcomic and have an extensive archive--- I had heard of another webcomic with LOADS more readers and other people who advertised there who grew their readership x10 just from advertising for ONE day. So I had to try it out. My ads ran in the beginning of April and I made sure the direct link was to my archive page which encouraged people to page through my archives-- my adsense was OFF THE HOOK that month.

Ever since, actually, my adsense has remained triple what it normally was. This got me thinking about doing this on several quality sites at once, multiplying the process and the profits.

In essence, I bought advertising on a quality website that had similar readers to my own, I not only brought in MORE new readers, but also more ad dollars and monthly sponsors. Right now, I couldn't be happier.
