    Yes buddy - it is totally FREE to add a site or business hence the domain name of the website.

    It is called Free Index for that specific reason.

    The way they earn their revenue is via some ads they have on their website.

    Why don't you visit their site and find out more information?

    Enjoy

    Okay we all can see its free, try not to oversell it, after all its supposed to be a rival to the links in your footer. ;)

    Yes. Very true. The web however is huge!
    Many of us here are all rivals too - anyhow, there's enough for everyone to go round :)

    That is a question i asked myself and pondered deep on, my thoughts came to a conclusion that I have no rivals in this industry, why ? if i am a directory owner and as a duty to promote those people who wish to list ( provided conditions met for the directory ) then i would list and promote any site to the best of my ability and in that have no competition.

    But one has to know the post code to begin with. Who searches by post code anyway - most searching is done by some oher criteria like Town, Product or Company name.

    I suppose once a search is done, the post code could come up in the search, but then that's not exactly a search by post code is it.

    Incorrect. There are 2 search fields. 'What or Who' and 'Where'. in the 'Where' field we see 'e.g. London, Bristol...' indicating to search by town or city.

    But searching by Town or City isn't the same as doing it by postcode eg:

    Town = Sugardaddie Town

    Postcode = RG7 5RU

    Company = J Bloggs & Sons

    NOT the same search at all. :)

    If I'm presented with a box that says input post code, and I don't know which post code to enter, then I'm stuffed and the system fails. That's what I'm talking about.

    Yell.com does this, they expect you to know it so you can enter it. Dumb idea all around.

    Company names and Towns work the same way - you have to know the information to enter it (unless the info is common knowledge, and post codes aren't common knowledge).

    I find myself liking this one, it has a very nice design to it and probably gets a fair amount of traffic. Only a few reservations though:

    1. It's General

    2. What's it trying to be a Job site or a Directory

    3. Never was a fan of adsense myself

    apart from that, yeah, I have to say it's very attractive :)

    Nice related backlink for the original poster though!

    It is a good site though, i've got a few free premium listings in return for a backlink over the years.
