Hi, I would like to ask you about a credibility Keyword Selector Tool: http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ Searches done in February 2007 for my term is 54173 but my web site is #5 in google.com and I get only 50 visits from this keyword. What do you think about this?
The only 100% accurate way to know if a keyword would generate traffic (in Google) is by advertising for a short while in Adwords for a top position for that keyword and see how many impressinons/clicks you are getting.
I see the keyword selector tool as merely a suggestion, a starting point for picking keywords. Keep in mind this is for Overture, not Google. I was #1 for a keyword that it claimed got over 1000 searches in a month, and I got 1 visitor for that particular keyword. 99% of my organic traffic comes from keywords that have no data with Overture, they may bare resemblance to some suggested keywords but they all came from a human mind, instead of a computer program.
