Hello people! I'm sure you have all heard about 'keyword density'. Some of the experts say you should keep your keyword density between 1-3%, others say as high as 7%, and others say even higher. What if I told you they were all wrong? The truth is that there is no perfect percentage. There is no secret recipe. There isn't now, and there hasn't been in the past. Repeating keywords excessively won't help you, but it could potentially hurt you. Going crazy with keywords could be heading towards 'keyword stuffing' which you do not want to do. Don't take my word for it. Here's Matt Cutts to explain it...
You didn't "reveal" anything nor are people wrong for suggesting 1-3% keyword density. It was meant as a guide to not go crazy with keyword stuffing. There's also something called LSI keywords. The main point is for the content to be well written and have a good flow. It doesn't matter if the density is .08% or 2.4%. Anyone going as high as 7% or higher is just a noob and that article will never rank.
