Me again... i don't understand you guys , is there a secret ? how you receive traffic from StumbleUpon ? i read on another forum about a guy who received 100 people in the first hour , but when i take a look to my stats i saw 3 people in 2 months that come from StumbleUpon ... no comment , what you do and i don't ?
Some people have stumble groups where they stumble each others stuff. Gives you more chances for exposure, especially when folks dig your stuff. But stumble traffic is not really worth much in regards to monetization or getting comments/content. Most stumblers are just browsing on by... It can be good for search ranking though... if you get bookmarked by a few folks.
yeah... if you've got friends that can digg stories for you or groups like that, you'll get more visitors.
It also depends on what stumbleupon category you submit your website to. Some categories are more popular and receive more views than others.
First of all are you stumbling your articles ?? Have you got any friends on stumbleupon?? It is more likely to your page goes to your friends and then if your friends stumble articles goes to their friends. I have made 600 a day just from stumbleupon once but I usually get some hundreds of visitors vanishing in few days. You can check my blog there are some info about social bookmarking sites.
All of my Stumble traffic is "organic" - meaning no stumble groups or exchanges.. I'm not sure what determines how much traffic Stumple sends. Some of if has to do with the subject/category that your site/page is in, and i think some of it has to do with the 'quality' of who stumbles it. Dont worry about it much though, like Sockmoney said, Stumbleupon traffic is worthless for generating income for your site. Even the "holy grail", Digg traffic does not convert well.
There are a few things that appear to be factors for traffic. Getting reviews of your page Positive stumbles from people with many friends/fans Many positive stumbles, especially over a relatively short period of time (doing them all at once probably is not a great idea) --\/--
