Students perhaps, however high school students i do not think so. They have no bills and usually have a part time job like i said before. Come on now, you can do the maths.

From past experience i can say that i have earned more than enough to safely say that proxy sites "can" be worth it.
They do not suck, your just obviously incapable of making a high demanded, overly saturated (however many sites do not work) niche and turning it in to a profit.

Once again, you'll just have to trust me that there are better markets out there than minimum wage, part-time working students (I can't believe you're actually serious).

With a Proxy site there is no specialized industry or niche you're promoting. You're merely hoping an ad is going to be revelant by mere luck, which most of the times the ads will not be at all relevant to what the surfer is interested in (loss of revenue big time).

Not incapable of making a high demand, overly saturated niche successful (did I mention unprofitable?). Just too smart to even underake such a ludicrous proposition in the first place. This is about as retarded as opening up a new coffee shop right next door to Starbucks - really, your statements make absolutely no business sense whatsoever, from top to bottom.

I know you have a soft spot in your heart for Proxy sites, because from what I can see in your signature it's the only kind of sites you have. If you ever start expanding into other niches you will realize just how unprofitable Proxy sites are for the time and energy you put into them. There's no doubt in my mind you will abandon this niche - the grass is greener on the other side.

MySpace has massive traffic. So studios, movie, music, etc, pay them big dollars to 'skin' their site every Friday. Same as you see on GFY and some other message boards.

Showing up on the main page, when people have to see your trailer, music video, announcement millions of times a day. You can verify to the advertiser that millions are seeing your message.

What's it worth to some studio to have millions of people see some trailer for their new movie? $50,000? $100,000? $250,000, More?

Look at their advertising rates next time you are on MySpace. They are charging you for the exposure they can bring your company and product.

They are not dependent on PPC money.

You've made some pretty decent points but I'd like to differ.

First, proxy sites are capable of retaining about a month or two of autopilot revenue if you promote it for a week or so initially and the returns can g as high as $500 per month so $1K in 2 months practically on autopilot is what we're looking at.

Second, they make perfect business sense as it's a proven fact that teenagers are less likely to be "ad-blind" and if you use a couple of smart strategies you can make sure they do click your ads.

Making up your own stuff now, i never said its the best market, your just assuming i think it is. I agree that there are better niches, and i have already stated this before, you really do need to keep up. However i am arguing the point that proxy sites are not worthless and rubbish, once again i have stated this before, you starting to follow now.

There is a thing called optimizing adverts that you display on your website, you may want to check this out. You can use general statistics and research which i am sure can be found on the internet to figure out the main market of proxy sites. Just like facebook does with their adverts and other social networks, they do not have one single age group and target market however their main one is most probably teenagers between 13-19 so you wont go advertising a zimmer frame would you.

My business sense :D "i laugh" considering i have done business since i was 15 and have continued to produce top marks since then also showing extra curriculum business knowledge i would suggest you hush up here.

I wish everyone thought like you, then the market would be all mine, however they do not, and a lot of people are making money from proxy sites. I have never once suggested you can pack your jobs in sit on your bum and watch the money role in with proxy sites, however its a nice little sum of money if you do it right.

Did you not see my SEO Tutorials tips and tricks signature link guess not? Wow blind as well as....
"Stick with what you know" thats something i tend to take in to consideration when i make money. If you considered to look at my first two links you would see that the first is me selling proxy services and the second is totally of topic and features a large informational website on SEO (thats definitely proxy sites?)

I doubt it very much that i will abandon proxy sites, whats stopping me developing more than one website, on more than one niche, i guess your also incapable of multi tasking.

Right on the money I'd say, except for number four and five.

With image hosting, there is still alot of room for improvement in this niche before it is COMPLETELY over saturated. Right now each site is a carbon copy of the next. ImageShack is the best IMO because its very versatile and stable, and they offer many different services, not just run of the mill image hosting.

With warez, I'd have to say file sharing will ALWAYS be around, and you are wrong about people who downloading "backup" copies of software having no money.

Usually, they have something better (or something they'd rather purchase) in mind when it comes to their budget. I know in my case, I download all my PC games, because in my gaming budget, I only allow for purchasing hard copies of console games. (There is also alot of room for marketing in this area, because people are always looking for faster better downloading sites.) You can generate revenue from these kind of sites with adult ads, but I believe premium subscriptions are better for these sorts of websites.

I see what you're saying. This is a different business model than what we're talking about here. None of us command the traffic that Myspace has, so we look for niches. This allows us to command a small segment of one industry and promote highly-relevant products and services to targeted visitors we get.

Of course, anyone can pursue a website which targets the audience of "anyone" like Myspace, but they will have to see a lot more traffic to earn significant profits.

If you want a site with short term earnings that won't last in the future, better to go with a real niche and use blackhat techniques. Earnings will be significantly higher. At any rate, why would a webmaster want a website where earnings are only good for the first 2 months after you promote it?

Start a website in a niche that is oversaturated and unprofitable makes for bad business, whether you can trick visitors into clicking your ads or not.

Judging from the amount of insults in your post I can tell you are taking this pretty personally, so I will make this brief as you've already heard my points and I don't want to continue this with you.

Time is worth more than money - my time is very precious and I am smart about where I spend it. If you're putting your time into one of the least profitable niches on the internet, then you should reconsider what you're doing.

And no matter what anyone says, you're a good businessman... because your professor says so.

Haha ok sure thing, i took the fact a random person of the internet assumed they new me after we had only debated over a certain subject three or four times, nothing else.

The little time i spend promoting proxy sites, is something i have to do anyways, due to the services i sell, therefore the time is efficient.

I am indeed a good businessman and will be very successful in the future, not because my "professor" says so, because i know.

I shall leave with two quotes.
" Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve."

    Oh and one for yourself
"We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible."

    See you around.

    Will

Somehow you took "your posts make no business sense" and turned it into "you have no business sense." I never claimed to have known you, nor did I ever insult you personally.

Thanks for the quotes, but they aren't relevant to this situation.

    Here's one that fits nicely:

"While selling ice to eskimos is not impossible, few would be silly enough to try."

Your quote does not have any relevance either, considering proxy sites are in demand and always will be until adminstrators or who ever gets good enough filters to block out these sites however i feel by then proxy sites would have developed too.

    I am ending this here,

    Will.
