    ..

No damnit, it's all about us.

I'm in the Red shorts and he's in the Blue shorts and we're in the ring deciding this entire election mano-a-mano.

Johnson and Carter, I mean... umm... er... McCain and Obama are just puppets of the secret elite powers that really run everything on this planet -- me and guerilla!

Maybe you both should decide on the winner once and for all with a game of Russian Roulette :)

Yeap I would agree with Logicflux that it is sure entertaining when two extremely knowledgeable members crash with differences in opinions.

Reason #11 to vote for McCain:

Because if foreigners or terrorists happen to support a candidate, he must be un-American. Therefore, I will not vote for him!

Reason #12 to vote for McCain:

He's not a communist, nor does he post his commy loving idealogy for every American on the internet to read! What kind of commy disguise does this opposing candidate have? Someone needs to teach this guy how to hide those commy plans.

Reason #13 to vote for McCain:

Have you seen the color of the other guys skin!?!? Good God!

It's not the color of Obama's skin that bothers me, it's his not-very-well-concealed dislike for people with my skin color that bothers me.

I really don't feel wonderful about handing the leadership of this nation over to a kid who doesn't like white people.

Can you source something like this, maybe with a quote like so:

"I hated the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live."

Any quote like "I hate whitey." or "Obama, where are we going to get the money for this?" "Tax whitey"

    Were you looking for these?

From Obama's book, "Dreams of My Father":

Although Obama spent various portions of his youth living with his white maternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather, he vowed that he would "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

    From "Audacity of Hope":

"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

    From "Dreams":

"The emotion between the races could never be pure,” “Even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart."

"There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. "A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white"

    Out of context.

The more complete quote is, ""Yes, I’d seen weakness in other men— Gramps and his disappointments, Lolo and his compromise. But these men had become object lessons for me, men I might love but never emulate, white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

This was when Obama was a college student and wrestling with his identity including as an African-American. The quote describes his observation of what was required among his fellow students.

Prior to this quote he explains the early pressure of fitting in with the so-called campus "radicals" to "avoid being mistaken for a sellout." (page 100).

This is called peer pressure, I'm sure we've all been there. I'm not sure what school you went to, but in all the ones I went to (from the inner city, to the country.) the blacks hang out with the blacks, the russians with the russians, the mexicans with the mexicans, etc..

    See bottom.

    Out of context.

It it in a section in which Obama describes a job interview with a man in Chicago. Race had been a part of their discussion and the full quote is, "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white---he'd said himself that was a problem."

This guy's not racist, he's just grown up black in a white man's world. We've seen his Reverend speak, now that's racist. We've also seen a quote from McCain, now that's racist.

Don't you have any real racist quotes like "I hate whitey"?

Picking apart out of context quotes which you think might subliminally point to racism is a little silly.

Let's face it, America is FU**ED either way. Period. End of story.

Obama - he keeps wanting to talk about the War. Why? People are more concerned with GAS PRICES. Its a fact.

McCain has anger issues, and we don't need a man behind the button who's pissed off all the time, especially at that age.

Why did Tim Russert have to die? He'd have been a GREAT President. Then again, I'd rather have Pee Wee Herman as President over Obama.
