you know what is kind funny , sad and scary at the same time

there are probably many people in US who would think killing 100k of people to secure more oil is aok

of course the joke is on them, because its pretty dubious new supplies will actually cause the prices to go down, I mean we surviving paying $4.20 gallon why make it cheaper

Here is 10 reasons why I wouldn't vote for Obama.

    1. He's against NAFTA and free trade in general.
    2. He thinks that if you tax the corporations that they just won't pass that onto consumers.
    3. He thinks that if you tax the corporations they won't pick up their bags and move out of the country.
    4. His crazy priest.
    5. The media seems to love him no matter what he does. Definitely something I won't go near.
    6. Voted for reinstating the patriot act.
    7. He believes in corporate welfare (his version of it).
    8. He'd increase government spending.
    9. He'd implement anti-energy policies that would cause everyones standard of living to go down.
    10. He holds the anti-business dogma, like business is an evil thing. Pfff. I just can't support such a stupid idea of placing value in not producing, not creating and not building, and holding production as evil.

NAFTA is managed trade, not free trade. It's about harmonizing infrastructure and legal standards more than anything else. If you remove all of the legal machinations, and just have a simple zero tariff trade deal, then that's one million times better.

I understand where you are coming from with regards to his protectionist mentality, however I felt I must comment on NAFTA specifically.

Yes, I get the laissez faire free trade which I support, but NAFTA isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. It's about getting similar systems in place so it's easier. Not exactly "pure" free trade, but close enough with the statists we have today.

On the contrary, I believe NAFTA is like the early EU trade agreements. It's a foundation for political restructuring. There is no way the US can survive it's entitlement obligations without doing something radically politically and economically.

I suppose it could be or not. I'm not really into the whole Alex Jones, NWO conspiracy theories.

The TTC is not a conspiracy theory. The NAFTA super highway, despite being poo-poo'd by the governments of Canada and the United States, has been taken seriously enough by Congress to warrant a bill with many co-signers to halt it.

It is a conspiracy, but one we know about and can stop.

You'll have to do some research on the TTC, the Trans-Texas Corridor. There is an excellent video about it on Google Video.

I was more or less looking for a reason why. You said the super highway is bad, so I just wanted an understanding into your value system.

The super highways are going to be constructed through public subsidy and eminent domain. This violates property rights, and encourages nationalized infrastructure.

Ever since NAFTA was introduced in the poor parts of Mexico, poverty increased.
