Why make that lame comment about how to say hello in English? Nobody says that. Was there a purpose to this comment you slipped into your thread?

I guess it is hard to learn if your mother tongue was Latin language as the grammars are so different - almost opposit! Even Chinese has a similar grammar to Latin languages. ;)

BTW do you know that your user name means strawberry in Japanese? You might have picked it on purpose. :p

here in the Philippines, we are English speaking people.. we used it
as our second language.. i thought English is the most used language in the world.

BTW, where did you get those infos? i guess it was based on the number of people living in the country.. China got the highest population.

Many people in Bihar speak Bengali, Mostly in the districts adjacent to the Bihar Bengal border, but you'll find many Bengalis in far west districts in Bihar like Patna and Muzaffarpur..

One of the things with English is it's a magpie language. It has no problems in picking up words from other languages and passing them off as its own. Also it's easy to invent new words and if they're good enough they get used worldwide. You can't do that in French. All new words have to be scrutinised by a committe and they HATE the anglicisation of their language. They've had various degrees of success in introducing 'proper' new French words. When computers first came out originally the French word was 'computeur' (just say 'computer' with a French accent and you've got it), but they've successfully managed to introduce the word 'ordinateur' instead.

If they're not careful their langiage could go the way of Latin. But it IS a beautiful langiage to listen to. A French woman can read an article on Economics and can make it sound like she wants to rip your clothes off.
