I couldn't help but to post this...i just had the weirdest conversation with one of my friends on the phone (we always tend to have really weird ones....lol)...but it ended up coming onto the topic of how 'leaving the toilet seat up' has become such a common 'no-no' in [at least] the American Society.... not sure how it is everywhere else...(would be interesting to know though)... me and my wife have come to a conclusion...i need it up...she need's it down...so we'll compromise...lol...i pick it up, she puts it down... of course then we also talked about wondering when it first became an issue...lol.. like i said...weird discussion...what do you think on the topic??
One solution for the house: ONE washroom for the male = seat up ONE washroom for the female = seat down
in my house the toilet seat remains down I sit to pee, you sit to pee if you prefer to stand, you wash the toilet pretty simple. vanessa.
I don't have an issue with it...like i said, i've compromised with the boss...lol... though that did bring an interesting image into the mind...getting a urinal and taking out the toilet ...lol
Once it's in a house and only the same people use it.. it'll become a natural habit to enter the right washroom
/silent rant to self..."all these women...stupid slave drivers...can't put a toilet seat down..." any reason you gals don't like to put it down?...too lazy, or too scared you might get pee on your hand?...lol
Exactly how it goes around my house with my son. I think its just silly fighting over the toilet seat.
I'm a female and yes I put it down when needed AND I don't complain about it.. so... not ALL females rant about this lol
glad to see the ladies of the 21st century are catching on ...lol /ducks (my mother in law is the one me and my friend started talking about...she yells all the time when she comes to visit...my wife told her to shut the hell up last night...was pretty funny)
slave drivers? I don't think so. if men would learn to aim better (or at all!) it probably wouldn't be an issue vanessa.
If you sprinkle when you tinkle be a sweetie & wipe the seatie A bit one sided eh? You lift the seat when you are done (so I won't pee on it), I'll put it down when I'm done (so you don't sit on the rim in the middle of the night) I touch it once, you touch it once. Compromise should be the key to any relationship.
really it is not the up or down issue that is the problem when (most) men pee standing up they shake their bits afterwards instead of using toilet paper it gets on the walls, the floors and yes, the toilet seat if you're sitting down and you shake it, it's mostly contained within the toilet it's a hygiene issue, plain and simple as I said, I have no real big "issue" with it if you prefer to not listen to this reasoning and stand instead - YOU wash the bathroom it's not an unfair prospect simply lifting or lowering the lid is not an issue vanessa.
Yes, that is right. But some ppl cannot be trained so you have to go with the flow. Opera had this issue on her program once and to include the toilet has less germ than your kitchen sink and counter. Go figure!
hmm...never thought of it that way...lol...though I do help clean the bathroom from time to time...maybe..lol
lol...guess that's one way to avoid wiping the seat.... though guests may wonder why there are many bottles in the bathroom storage cabinet...
