I've been thinking these days. I got this site that's one hot number. I thought it up, worked on the keywords, got an amazing domain, and then did just everything right to get it in charge of the search engines. Its got a high quality design on it. Now I found that someone bought like 10 domains close to the same but with 1's and - and what not. His site is a put together in 20 minutes each type. But in about 2 months he sits right behind me in google. He stole content from me and his Metatag is even exactly the same. This is a dishonest business person because I did all of the work and they just mirrored me in hours. It took me 10 months. Also, I've been watching SEO and webmaster Forums like this and have noticed that the majority of the forum is "hey, make a million in two days!!". Also the services people offer, I notice they are unmotivated to give a good service once paid, and everyone has got a dishonest hooks. It kills me because I've been playing honest the whole time and I feel like it just takes me years to acheive what people are getting in weeks. I have some great idea's to burn others alive while I profit big. Should I join the large ranks of dishonest people or should I spend my life being taken by them?
it's actually an interesting subject, you know Microsoft kept their competitors in business to steal their ideas? What is justified as dishonest behavior? straight out stealing content is against the law and should be punished. I bend the agreements of web 2.0 and Google, for better performance, does that make me a bad person? What about my content? unknowingly triggering readers emotions and excitement... Someone taking your ranks? I don't see how anyone can beat 10 months of SOLID SEO, constant backlinks and content... Not saying you are slacking or working unwisely..but.. Business is the toughest form of competition.. unlike sports.. there's few rules.
Also, if this guy has blatantly breached copy write, then do a WHOIS on the domain and report to his webhost and affiliate programs.. it does work.
Its easy to be dishonest but it takes a strong person to steer clear from that. Just keep being the great one you are
