I noticed this while installing New forums. This link to my new forums thread:

    http://forums.connectmobiles.com/bb/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=261

Takes me to a "Page Cannot be FOund' HTTP 404 Bad request error.

Without the suffix [goto=newpost], http://forums.connectmobiles.com/bb/showthread.php?t=261 seems fine and works well.

    Odd.

This sometimes works well in Firefox. It looked liked, i had a problem with my IE. But then, the same suffix in Digital Point FORUM Works well in IE for me..!!

What the hell am I doing wrong!!!! I reinstalled the forums twice. Also spoke to the VBulletin staff... but they say they can view the link in IE...

To counter this, I also asked several friends of mine... to chk if they can view the page. SOME COULD see the page while SOME GOt the Same error....

doesn't work here either - try to find where the $goto is generated and see what breaks it
EDIT : actually it works with lastpost (not newpost) ... go figure
You should probably see where and how newpost is generated

Strange, it is probably a server or connection issue because this is working fine for me in both ff 2 and ie6
