The Story Thread Add a paragraph

Ok guys here is another one of those story threads, lets see if we can actually get a real story going. here are the rules

-You have to add at least a paragraph but no more than 3 per post,
-No double posts
-keep it clean!!
-correct grammar/spelling isnt important
-Please dont post anything unless you are making a real contribution to the story
-Have fun

 

He awoke to the sound of the fire alarm, startled at first, but then just disapointed. he didnt smell any smoke. he had work tommorow, and he needed sleep, he always put off going to sleep as long as he could because once he finally gave in and went to bed morning would come instantly, which ment he had to go to work, he hated going to work, his mundane job of corparate polotics and supporting products he didnt understand, left him feeling so numb at the end of the day, "this is not the life i want" he thought to himself "but this is just a temporary means to get the life you want" he reasured himself, but hey knew it was a lie.

Finally the high pitched ringing stopped, but the ringing still continued in his head, he wondered if it woke up any of the neighboors probably not, would any of them come to his rescue if the place was burning down? with a inward chucked, he imagened the old lady accoss the street explaining to the fire men that nobody lived there. His neighboors probably had no clue that someone lived there. How would they, He didnt know any of them, He didnt even really know if it really was a old lady that lived across the street, it was just the person that he invisioned was parking that huge cadilac practically in the middle of the street every day, really, who else drives those things? His neighbors must notice that my car isnt always parked in the same place everyday he thought, and that though gave him some comfort, they must know that i exist at least, maybe

 

... maybe a mod will close this thread in a couple of hours, he thought. He always hated the way in which such never-ending threads never lasted on DP, and the fact that he would just move on and get some work done gave him little satisfaction. He made a mental note to try webmastertalk.com the next time.

 

"But why not give it a try?", a demonic voice screached, roused him from his reverie.
