    Hi;

    I see that so many people are getting problems with PROXY HIJACK (or proxy cheaters).

    Google does not care the search quality and Google does not want to take action to these cheaters:mad:. So We must solve our problems without google.

    The best way for protecting yourself against the PROXY CHEATERS is blocking all the proxy visits to your site.

    This small code will block the proxy visits and shows the message on the message. You must insert that code to the top of your templates (before <html> tag)

    Thanks

    Note: I did not decide where to post this . here or search engine forums. I hope mods will not get angry for this

    That discriminates against anyone who runs a webserver on their home PC, and also anyone whose router opens port 80 to the public (which some routers do, although I think this is a pretty stupid feature), so you'd also be blocking legitimate users from using your site. You be best off getting IP addresses from proxy.org and blocking them, that way you can be sure you aren't blocking legit users.

    If I understand what you are attempting here, it is child's play to overcome. Just use a local port redirect on the box running the proxy. And ta da!

    yes, it may block a little legal users but people are opening new proxy sites which will not be listed at proxy.org . it will be so difficult to check the new proxy sites. you must stop working on your site and check the new proxy sites every day:eek:

    in fact, proxy hijack is a stupid problem which is created by google and the best solution MUST be find by google but google does not care that cheating:mad:

    Hello,

    No. I am simply making the point that anyone determined to use a proxy for malicious activity will do so. Your trick might work in many cases, but it will also exit on many legitimate users.

    Interesting idea, but it will cause a terrible load on the server :cool:

    Using the blacklist like I mentioned here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=4705502 , might be the way to solve the shortcommings of this approach.

    However, I recommend that you use this approach to discover new proxy sites that are viewing your content. Althou not an end all, just one step in the right direction.

    My site has been proxy hijacked, I've tried some codes, even a plugin, but I still see some proxy sites stealing my ranking... It's frustrating

    Can I use this code in wordpress? where?

    thank you!
