The SLURPs have left?

I see complaints all over about the number of yahoo bots on a site, and have complained myself... however, that has changed.

Yesterday morning I had a little over 60 SLURP on my forum, yesterday evening I had none. I still have none.

That has me worried, as what used to average around 5-50 is now simply gone...

Is there a way to tell if I have been blacklisted or something? Or do you think maybe them simply vanishing for a while is normal?

    Thanks,
    Q

I saw somewhere that Yahoo was looking at outsourcing it's search engine work to Google. Maybe that is happening now?

    Not sure.

I don't think it is anything to worry about. I know my site is not banned by Yahoo and I have seen a drop off in the last 24 hours after getting spidered like crazy by Yahoo - Slurps for the past week or so.

It seems like yahoo has been doing quite a bit of crazy things lately.

I got looking deeper into it, and while I could not find anything online yesterday about it, I did notice that several other forums I visit were missing an army of SLURP. (5 out of 6 forums, the 6th being DP)

I feel better that it's not just me...though am still perplexed as to what's up.

Google is probably starting to teach them the correct way to work the search engine. To me it doesn't matter because I get so many slurp spiders from yahoo daily and not a single visitor from yahoo in 8 months except for the occasional weekly visitor from their paid directory (I canceled that service today because yahoo sucks)
