Unless you have a celebrity site, it's not going to help you Find other sites with blogs in your niche and post intelligent comments, it generates quite a bit of traffic and make sure you do this without looking like you're spamming

Blog comments do bring in good traffic and if you post in well known authority blogs, the experts will come to realize that you exist...which is always great.

I have been reading into this. There is not a lot of info around on how much they actually pay. Are you doing per click or what?

Also, I agree with you on the comment traffic, now I do not go into as much as you but, I am starting to hit about 600 hits a day from my sigs in forums. Also, it really kicked up my google hits by far!

 

I'm not sure I understand your question. I'm using regular ol' adsense. One of my stories just got picked up on CollegeHumor. I'm having a nice traffic bump today!

 

Im curious to find out how anyone else gets on with this over the next week or two, please post your updates on this if you get on with this aswell as CalGuy has.

 

It comes down to finding places to "comment." Start by looking for related sites/blogs. Then look for related-related sites. For example...you have a site on antiques. First look for related antique sites, then look for decorating blogs.

With my ctr and your visitors I would have over $100/day.(time for me to start hitting the related blogs!)

What's your CTR. I am making around $60 a day with 135,000 impressions and a 2.2% CTR. Google started paying bad lately. I was hitting $140+ late July.

I find that a lot of the reported traffic on my blogs is actually from various robots, not real people. I'm not sure what stats program CalGuy was using, but I could see how leaving a lot of comments would generate a lot of traffic from robots like Technorati, etc. Some of my blogs are > 50% bot traffic.

 

So Far I gave 13000+ uniques and 27400+ page views. Adsense? A whopping $8.26. Incidentally, I'm not too concerned over the (lack of) adsense earnings. My goal from the beginning for this site was to sell ads by the week/month via outlets such as blogads. I figured I'd wait a month or so before I started looking into that but, now that site is gaining popularity, I should start looking now!

 

Then look for the blog that has the most traffic, and start commenting.

As long as the blogs you are commenting on have plenty of traffic, I don't think it is difficult to get visitors from the comments...

- the most popular posts the better
- the most recent comments the better. Meaning - be the first to comment a post and you will stay on top of the comments list = your link will be one of the first ones to show up after the blog post itself = more chances to get traffic.
