The Sick Hick Named Michael Vick

    I often try to ignore bad news, but just read some details about the Michael Vick
    (A Rich & Famous NFL Quarterback) dog fight accusations
    (he financed and held 'dog fighting events' on his property)
    ~~~
    The dogs which lost were (supposedly) tortured and shocked (electrocuted)
    in order to 'toughen them up'. :eek:
    ~~~
    Bad Puppy

    Michael Vick was really exciting in the open field (a fast runner), but what a loser in real life!
    ~~~
    Have you ever known anyone who likes or bets on dog fights?
    Do you think it's a really sick thing for 'normal' people to enjoy for entertainment?
    If this is true, then Vick needs to be sentenced to 10 + years in prison.
    Dog fighting alone is bad, but also torturing the ones that lose, takes it to a whole different level.
    Yawn. Vick was overrated as a NFL QB. He's nothing special.
    He's always been a class A ass too.
    He once said that he deserved to be mentioned as an elite QB like Brady and Manning and that people didn't give him the respect he deserves.
    Vick evidently forgot that those QBs took their teams to the playoffs and won Super Bowls.
    He's a poor man's Gino Torretta. ;)
    Maybe they can let him wear #7 in prison.
    He wasn't special with is arm, but he was a very talented runner.
    At his best, he was great to watch, because no on could catch him.
    ~~~

    The dog thing is really sick.
    Maybe they should put him in a cage with the dogs he tortured.

    He was okay. His numbers as a QB weren't that impressive.

    And who cares if you can run as a QB if you can't command an offense and pass effectively?

    Remove the hype and you have an average NFL QB. I'm not saying he sucks, just that he's average--a little better here, a little worse there.

    We'll see how his running skills help him when the game of shower football begins in prison (if he's found guilty).

    He has already been branded guilty by the public... there is no way that he can leave this life and go on with what he has been doing. I want to know if the allegations are real. If they are, he is really a goner.

    It seems to be a fact there was dog fighting on his property
    (for several years)
    Of coarse, he deserves a chance to prove he's innocent.
    ~~
    I'd heard of dog fighting, but it's something I try not to think about.
    If he's guilty, I don't see how he was ever 'smart enough' to be a NFL quarterback-even an average one needs brains.

    I quite enjoyed watching the Falcons games last year as Vick, for all his limitations, was exciting to watch. He remided me a bit of a poor man's Randall Cunningham when he first burst onto the scene with the Eagles - his stats weren't that good either.

    I loved watching Randall.

    Actually, I see him fairly often around here. He's a nice guy.

    He was above average going on towards greatness (he for the most part DID command a win-loss record above .500 for career)

    While I don't agree with the dog fighting, that alone I don't think would put him away, but the tax evasion & probable connection to organized crime... it all adds up to mind baffling stupidity. As a guy who thought he was the most exciting player since Barry Sanders, I'm angry at endangering money & success to something so... well... STUPID!!!

    Only question now is who the Vick's momma is more ashamed of, Mike or younger bro Marcus who had a guaranteed opportunity to play on a NFL teams roster as a top 3 round pick only to be jobless due to stupidity in college.

    Eh... glad I'm an Eagles fan that only has to worry about my QB's health keeping him off the field & not any off field stupidity. Tho they confernce rivals my prayers go out to the football fans of the ATL... first Jamal Anderson now Vick :(

    What a waste of a career. Pure stupidity and carelessness for the animals and himself. He's an idiot - nothing more nothing less.
