The 'Share Your Blog Journey' Thread

How many of you are profiting from blogs or articles? How many of you are pulling in the big affiliate commissions? And how many of you know your stuff about blogs. Blogs are big and it seems like a good time to start sharing your blog and article marketing journey(s) from a-z.

I run a gaming-related blog that has been up for about a month now and I update it everyday with new gaming-related content. A good portion of my visitors are from search engines and it's great to see that I get to the front page of Google for popular gaming phrases and terms of the moment (Character names as one example).

Please share a numbered list of the things you do, from start to success. :)

1.) Picked a creative domain relating to my niche, gaming.
2.) Installed the latest version of Wordpress, with a few basic plugins like Gravatar.
    3.) Updated the permalinks.
4.) Chose and modified a nice theme to my preference.
5.) Wrote 1-3 articles per day and published them.
6.) Used http://pingoat.com to ping my blog, everytime I updated the blog.
7.) Used http://www.onlywire.com for multiple social bookmarks on each of my new articles,
8.) Dugg the story with an attractive title.
9.) Created linkbacks and traffic by commenting other blogs, forums...

And that's my journey. Yes, no typo, only Digg. I don't stumble. :)

    Money making blog.

    1) Picked a brandable domain.
    2) Wrote content that was related to me - as much as 'helpful' content is useful, no one wants to see the same crap that they've read 1000s of times before
    3) Had a massive content to gain links and exposure
    4) Interacted with my commenting readers
    5) Used linkbait to get related blogs in the industry to visit, and emailed a few 'big names' to get mentions in posts.

Will many agree to me saying that it takes 'weeding' through numerous threads just to find 1-5 key tips about something? Maybe it's just my personal experience.

If you think that I don't love reading because I made this thread, then that's a pretty naive judgement - I don't love or hate reading, bottom line is that this thread isn't about the quantity of reading, you have a choice to contribute in the thread's common manner or not.

Ok, I was just asking. As you know, I have an e-book, and I am still working on sell words to potential customers that reading and studying is very important, regardless of how much BS there is out there.

I just wanted your viewpoint on it. Thanks for the reply back. :)
