    I wouldn't get too worried about those promote buttons. Do you know how many people actually use them?

    It's only likely that they would "promote" a site if they are always typing it into the google search instead of their address bar or something.

    In fact...I wonder how often people even search for the same thing two times or more in their lifetimes.

    yes I do think the "promote" button used to save the link locally, that will not affect any SERP . SEO will never end as long as Google still alive

    Well that promote button is only seen when you logged using your google account but if you are not logged in you dont see it


    And button came sometime back , its nothing new

    I dont see this promote button if I am not logged in to google account

    Absolutely nothing. Google is not stupid enough to give you some button that you can spam to promote your own site. Give them more credit than that. Those buttons are for your use to promote sites which you want to come back to and remove sites from the results that you know are not what you are looking for.
