The Federal Office for Information Security warned Internet users of the new browser Chrome. The application by the company Google should not be used for surfing the Internet, as a spokesperson for the office told the Berliner Zeitung. It was said to be problematic that Chrome was distributed as an unfinished advance version. Furthermore it was said to be risky that user data is hoarded with a single vendor. With its search engine, email program and the new browser, Google now covers all important areas on the Internet. spreeblick.com

Using CCleaner Tool, I disabled that Googleupdate.exe which automatically runs on Windows startup. It was secretly installed when Google Chrome landed on my computer.

I really hate these installers which don't reveal what they are going to do on the machine. Shouldn't software vendors and application developers list all files that are copied on our machines... I guess it's time some regulatory body is created to monitor good and penalize bad practices.

The same with Yahoo Messenger. Those who are not security conscious and are not totally aware of what they are doing in the computer would just install YM without knowing that Yahoo did not only install the messenger software but also a bunch of other extensions.
