If you don't test the content network you should start testing it because it is very profitable. Another thing is a lot of people don't test the content network, why? Because they don't think it's profitable the great thing about the content network is that there is not a bunch of people testing it and if you know how to use it to your advantage then you can make money from it, depending on the niche. Read more about it @ http://www.dewittsmedia.com/seo-blogs/affiliates/test-the-content-network/ And NO I will not disclose the niche (duh).
I agree if used correctly you can make money via the content network. There are some tricks to it thou..
I personally did not had much success with content network, may be because i tried with "no so famous" niches.
I think many are put off by the low CTR's the content network provides which i believe can effect quality score for the rest of the campaign, leading to higher bid requirements.
I've had a lot of niches that 1. either drove no traffic from the content network 2. did not convert wroth shit.
That's an incorrect statement. Google clearly states that the CTR from ads on the content network do not effect the quality score of the search keywords.
CTR on the content network has nothing to do with your QS on the search network. Besides that you should have them into separate campaigns. For example, Campaign Widgets (Search Network), and Campaign Widgets (Content Network). This will allow you to test way more efficiently.
