HARDWORK I visit this forum quite frequently and at least once a day, someone is asking for a secret formula or niche or keyword to become the next internet millionaire. Sorry guys, but it doesn't exist. There is no secret formula out there or we would all be millionaires! With that out of the way, I'd like to talk about someways that you can earn some money. But again, it takes time and effort. Idea First, you need an idea. Don't look at keyword lists and what other people are doing to make money. It won't work for you for two reasons. 1) You're probably not interested in the topic. 2) The market is most likely already over saturated with better and MFA websites. Find something that you would like to write about. If you don't see yourself being interested in the same topic 6 months from now, don't pick that topic! A website requires a lot of dedication. Don't expect results after one month. Website Now, you need a website. I highly suggest you start with a blog. They're fairly easy to maintain and you really need no technical knowledge in order to set one up and use it. That's right. You don't need to know HTML to run a blog No, not a blogger.com or Myspace account. An actual website. If you don't already have one, I suggest clicking the link in my signature. It's a free 10 page report that will help you setup your very own website including a domain, hosting, and blogging software in under an hour and for less than $15. Having your own website is important! It doesn't cost much and it's fairly easy to set one up by yourself. Content Now you have an idea and a website, you need content! Content that you've developed yourself. This means you have to write! Don't buy articles and don't steal content! If you ever want to get listed in a search engine you're going to need original content. This should be rather easy since you already have an interest in the topic. Just use your expertise and write what you know. Ads Obviously if you want to make money you're going to need advertisements. You're probably already a member of Adsense and that's a great start. But consider joining others like Commission Junction or Azoogle to put affiliate advertisements on your website as well. As for your Adsense ads, they need to blended. Blending means having your ads match the website. Have the link colors match the link colors, background match the background, and text match the text. This will greatly increase your click-through-rate as your readers will be much more likely to click on ads that they think are also you're content. Linking, Networking, and Traffic Finally, you need traffic, which means you need people to link to your content. No one is going to happen to stumble upon your work by typing the domain name into the address field. Submit your website to major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Write articles and submit them to article directories and have a link back to your website. Try ArticleDashboard, GoArticles, or ArticleDirectory. Guest blog on websites with similar niches. Most blogs will let you write a blurb about yourself. Use this space to link back to your website. Use your forum signature to link back to your website. Submit any new material to StumbleUpon, Digg, Propeller, or any other number of social media websites. That's really all there is to it. Lather, rinse, repeat. Like I said earlier, it takes time to really get things moving. Don't expect earnings of thousands of dollars after one-month of work. There is no secret to making money online! It's just like real life. You need to work hard and stay dedicated.
I beg to differ. there are always easier ways to do this and do that. while Google has kind of put a stop to adsense arbitrage now, there were many who made millions doing it. and that was an easy way, one guy could learn the formula in 10 minutes, and away he went. so stop it with the hard work crap. shortcuts can work too.
