Great post I recently came across on TechCrunch http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/11/22/the-secret-strategies-behind-many-viral-videos/
This guy is definitely cheating with some of the concepts he does on secret #3. But I guess as long as it's not against any rules and it's helping them get the intended 100,000 views... Thanks for sharing this, very interesting.
Yeah this is very smart. You could also do it to make sure your video showed up next to other popular videos that get lots of views.
Another method that I like better is to work with the best creatives and producers. Our viral video partners are in the top 20 all time on Youtube without cheating. Don't know which is more expensive, hire the guys from the article to view a clip couple of million times or hiring a top agency to create an awesome video but I'll take a guess
You could still implement some of the tricks that are pointed out in the techcrunch article on the videos you get created to boost them with even more traffic.
These are some really good tips. I'm liking #3 a lot, although it's a bit... hmm, dunno. It's not against the TOS, though.
He He He . This is a pretty interesting article . I think i'll try getting a video ready for some youtube promotion
Yeah the making your own comments bit is a little bit unethical - but all the other tips are just good practice and should be done everytime you submit a video.
