The Sandbox VS Purchasing Aged Domains

    Then why do sites suddenly shoot from 987 to the top 10 overnight generally when the site is a year old??

    Old domains work when you do your homework. I built a site since this thread started have have reinforced what I said. Do homework. Spend dollars, and you will be fine. Think big!

    Look at your rate of content production as well, sometimes it's better to through up a whole pile of content and let it age and other times it's best to consistently add content. Whether buying an aged domain with content will help you or not will essentially depend on what you do with the domain and it will also depend on the market you are in.

    I had a site parked at Sedo that had no content of mine and still became a PR1, so then I decided to use it myself and add content. It never got sandboxed, but it did go down to PR0, which I thought was a bit odd, since it now has more backlinks.
