The domain is just a minor ingredient in the recipe that determine serps.
Nevertheless when starting a new project I think its wise to begin with a keyword domain.

Keyword rich domains tend to rank much higher...
Here's a good example..

keyword: cheap limo hire
Raking: 1st on Google, 1st on Yahoo, 1st on MSN.

This is some great info thanks for sharing it, I have mixed feelings
when in regards to the whole domain name discussion, but I think
having a great domain name will not hurt your rankings in the serps.

 

Yes, this is exactly right. And if your keywords ARE your domain name, you have a lot better chance of people finding you in the search engines.
