Asume that you have a blog with very tight niche(antivirus software downloads as example). You are writing "usefull" articles helping people and giving a few antivirus software downloads.You are reach 100 visits uniques per day. I have a few questions about that.. What is the right way to way to create a mailing list? Whene is the right time to monetise your blog and how? affiliates? ads ? banners?
You probably won't make much cash with 100 visitors per day, so you might as well put off adding adverts just yet. Try and get some backlinks asking for them at related blogs and websites. If your content is good and there are no adverts, you should get some links, which will of course increase your traffic. Google adsense is a good way of monatarising a blog, but you could also join some affiliate programmes. As a rough guide, but this does depend on your site and niche, I wouldn't bother with monatarising until I was getting around 500 uniques per day.
Another thing you can do is create a product and sell it on your site. It sounds like you are writing regular posts with great advice that people are coming back to read, so this would be a great way to start building an active list that you can sell to. Maybe set up an opt-in widget for a free product you create. This will be tied to an email marketing program like Aweber. Then once your visitors get the free product, you will have their email and you can email them an offer to pay for a more detailed ebook, or membership.
I suggest you stop giving free downloads and only offer that to people who sign up on your newsletter list. That's how you get a list started.
