OK. There is supposedly this relatively new marketing strategy called the Reverse Funnel System that I am sure we have all heard about. Let me say before anyone flames in my post: I am not selling anything I am not promoting anything I am merely posting this because I want to put a team together to more or less duplicate the system. It is very easy to do. What it is: It works like this. You come across the site that is basic in nature. The reason why it is basic is because it is cobranded. Ty Coughlin the creator (not really) set the same sort of system up that the Rich Jerk did. Regardless if all liked his publications or not, the guy was a marketing genius. His stats are still ranked pretty high in clickbank after being there for so long. What Ty Coughlin does is charge a $50 initial membership. That gets you in the door and access to loads of marketing material. Lists of ezines to submit articles to. List of Directories. List of Classified sites. Etc... That is what you get with your initial $50 investment. The second investment comes when you want a cobranded site, and access to professionally written articles, and other content to promote your cobrand. In a sense he has established a brand, by making people pay to exploit his product which in an essence is really nothing. He is selling info and techniques that are available on this forum for the most part. It is merely listed in easily accessible fashion. This whole system is simple, but effective. It is actually a very profitable form of marketing. One thing that will be added to my version is the constant supply of fresh content for article sites, classifieds, etc... Videos for youtube, and such. Writers are a dime a dozen, and the content is very cheap. I want to include a domain name, and hosting account with the second level of the investment for the cobrands. The associate will only need to create their desired domain name. I guarantee you this. You will be hearing more about the system because of the already shocking amount of cobranded sites. Once you have a good amount of associates peddling this product you have it made. This is very easy to do by taking on like the first 100 associates without an initial investment. The ones that sign up under them will do everything to in their power to promote their aspect of the business because they paid to get into it. In this Web 2.0 era, there is many more ways to promote products and brands without even putting up a penny. Sites like youtube, digg, ezinearticles, squidoo, and so on make it easy for other to promote. This is not even counting the individual blogs. Like I said. I am putting a team together to set this in motion. Those that wish to come aboard just post here. Please include in your post what you have to offer in the form of skills, ie; writer, SEO, video, programming, marketing, etc... Successful brands have more than one person doing the work. It does take a team to succeed. Team would mean just that. Equal effort, equal reward. I think that 3 people should do the trick. This can of course be a side project, because it is mine. I can however afford to put about 4 hours a day to this in the beginning. It should not take long to get going. It will be a simple cobrandable site, a forum to communicate with our associates, and some articles and Press Releases. The 50-100 people that we take on in the beginning with no investment will have to provide their own domain, and host. We will add more to this as it progresses. Sit back and think for a minute on how what this is and how it will work. It should be pretty clear on how lucrative it can be if carried out right. Let me know those that are interested....
Would love to help out if you can give me a bit more info: I am a: Coder Graphic designer Internet marketer Video editor Copywriter and am fairly good at SEO. I currently get 500 leads a week all from people who are looking to get into the "work from home" biz and have 100$-200$ to spend. I have my own hosting and can buy domain names. I have an unlimited supply of PPC and know how to write good ads. I'm interested, so give me some more details! -Dave
Just wanted to add that because so many more people are on here just trying to sell whatever it is they are selling. I am merely trying to build a team. All it basically is giving members a cobranded website to promote while giving them all the resources to promote it. They also have to pay to join up. After they pay they get access to marketing material. The material will have to be good. We will also hire writers to keep our associates pumped with fresh content for them to post on blogs and ezine sites....
seems like MLM sites to me.. ppl join with a fee and get a co-branded site with materials to promote the site.. some list or links where to promote it.. but in mlm.. u have to refer more ppl and build a matrix.. this has worked very good for MLM ers.. but unfortunately after a while the downline crashes when they get no more ppl to promote it.. may be this reverse funnel system should work for mainstream as well.. i have seen PE herbal health adult affiliate programs providing members content articles where to promote a personal forum etc.. but no body charges any fee to get affiliates..
Atomicvenom in reply too your post about Ty's "system" IF you are referring to his RFS system it is NOT as you described it : (see below) "What it is: It works like this. You come across the site that is basic in nature. The reason why it is basic is because it is cobranded. Ty Coughlin the creator (not really) set the same sort of system up that the Rich Jerk did. He is selling info and techniques that are available on this forum for the most part. It is merely listed in easily accessible fashion. I know how it works because I at one time bought into his systemcalled reverse funnel system a funded proposal system that was way overpriced, and you do not get all that you said after you paid the $50, that $50 was to simply weed out "tire kickers" you got absolutely nothing for the $50 than as you go on thru the reverse funnel it says you can now buy in to the biz opp I am with called GlobalResorts for the price of $3,000 !! AND for the priviledge of using his rfs marketing system you had to pay $300 a month and than he had a dropdown box in which he recommended places to advertise which you can google or go alexa and find the same sites, his "training" was nothing more than HYPED up phone calls telling you that you too can make the kazillions he is IF you push and spam his site of which yes you had one like it. $300 a month for literally NOTHING but a FLAWED system! It was nothing like what you described it to be unless he has another one out there I am unaware of yet. The premise that you had to advertise, advertise, advertise, was because his obnoxious picture (a real turnoff) was plastered all over the place, now that was viral marketing nothing more. Sooo I am not certain what kind of system you want to put together and what it would cost monthly but there are already a lot of funded proposal programs/systems out there! Terri
It sounds like you got sold on the idea like everyone else. To support what surf4fun said, this is exactly right. It is an MLM with a pyramid flair. A "reverse funnel" is basically just that. It looks like a pyramid. Exactly what is Ty trying to promote: He earns $50 initially from every prospect to weed out the supposed "tire kickers" After you pay that, you may get his co-branded site to litter the internet. You get that after paying the initial $50 investment. This allows you to earn money by promoting his program. Once you are in you have the option of putting up thousands of dollars to basically join his downline with the Global Resorts Product. This is all it is. He makes out in more than 1 way with this product. He makes $50 for each initial member. Then he starts building a downline for Global Resorts. The initial members promote his system trying to earn a % from every new member they get to join. My point is this..... The guy is no doubt making money. His ultimate product may not be all that great, but it really does not matter. People will buy in on the entry level $50, and some people will go further and become part of his downline. I have found a very good product to sell for the ultimate product of my campaign. I don't care what kind of marketing he does, he is making money and that is what it is all about. LetMeAdvise, I will fill you in more when you are ready. Just PM me, and lets make some money.
Good luck in your venture. It sounds like quite a project and might be both fun and profitable. For me, it would just be a distraction from my current marketing plan. Thanks anyway, Don from Yakima
It is sad to me that so many people believe that the Reverse Funnel System is any more that that...a system. They basically try and sell you on their system at a fairly high price. The actual product that the people who sign up in the Reverse Funnel System sell is a membership to Global Resorts Network. They are a company with a 21 year history and have nothing to do with the Reverse Funnel System. The income potential with them is great and can be achieved without ever being anywhere near the Reverse Funnel System. The Elite Entrepreneurs Network is a group I joined to sell Global Resorts Network memberships and am having fair success with. No, I'm not laying on the beach promising I'll make you a millionaire in sixty short days. That is a result of lots of learning and work. I will tell you that my time with them has been very enjoyable and has cost me nothing. It still cost to purchase the Global Resorts Network membership, as it would to purchase most any membership, but there are no recurring monthly fees to either own the membership or to market it through the Elite Entrepreneurs Network
This isn't a new strategy, it's been preached by John Reece for years. It's simply give more, get more.
Terri - totally! I got suckered in too, and then quit after like, 2 months. i was so mad. I still am, really. $300 a month and it was CRAP! I hated his page. my little sister could have put together something better than that. i joined the GRN system after that, and although i haven't made any sales or sign ups yet, it's much better than the RFS, and i'm getting more people interested (who DON'T have to pay $50). Man, Ty must be so rich.... is there anyone in here who can advise me to network/internet marketing? i'm totally new to it and learning as fast as i can (although thank heavens I am not stressed about losing $300 a month while i learn anymore)....
