the relevance of forum signature links

I have a question, exactly how important are forum signature links, for example on DP?
Do they help your website rise in serps?
Also I want to know how important is the number of links in this case, let's say the difference from 100 signatures and 10.000

 

according to my experience, the signature links have very very low influence on google. But of cource the number of links is important here, especially from different resources.

 

Forum Signatures are having good values.Most of them are without nofollow.DP signature helps r site to get fast indexing.

Depending on no follow tags, it can help with serps or help huge. DP has a GREAT alexa and is top rated for web dev forums, so take that to heart. It WILL drive traffic to your site if you do it right...question is..is the traffic relevant to your topic?

 

They do well, a lot of back link analysis done for competitor sites had lots of forums signatures within them.

 

you also can get some traffic from your signature links, it is better than any not popular backlinks

A few popular niche forums I frequent disallow links in signatures. Ridiculous...it seems only webmaster forums are friendly for this kind of thing.

 

Besides in forum sig you can also gain traffic at the same time visitors in your site as well. I think it is also helpful. There are also some sort of forums that doesnt allow signature links.

forum sigs are great for indexing.

But just as improtant if not more important the amount of traffic they generate for a constant poster. Popel see hundreds of clickthorughs a day from some sigs.

With sigs depending on wat ur trying to achieve post counts dont matter. The thing that matters is that the person actively posts. THis is cos hardly anyoen reads dead posts so.... u get the point....

Signature links, if they are not no-follow, contribute to your backlinks. Each one is not much, but if you have 10,000 they can add quite a bit of weight to your site. They also will drive traffic to your site.

 

They are a poor source of backlinks, and no they are not a fast way to get indexed.. Unless you call 4 months fast.

However they are great for clicks.
