The add with border always not working for my site.... no one seems to have any interest to click on them... recently stumble into this man... Derren Brown... who exploit human mind for/on tv show... Then i start to think ... may be the add border have something related to this ... see the web:Border wallet the video:the Video dbwallet.ram What you think???
Great great and great. Definitely a different way of looking at things, but sure. Borders around anything always seem, "uninviting." Another way to look at it would be like this. If there were no wall in between Mexico and the United States, how many more Hispanics would we have in America? I by no means am being racist. However, I am just proving a point just like your wallet post. When things are easier to do, they're more likely to happen. For some reason, borders tell your readers, "Hey. I am separate from the content so don't click me." Get rid of the borders and your ads blend in that much more. Anyway, great article man.
i've always heard to get rid of borders saying you get better CTR but never understood the psychology. these are good theories.
no one likes to click on ads or be sold. ads with borders make it look like "ads" for which no one or not many click on them. depending on ad positioning, ads without border may make the ad look like part of the body content for which it generates more click
well, from my understanding, you can earn with adsense in two major ways - thru ad clicks and rank in the search engine results pages (SERPs). correct me if i am wrong with this but this what i observed. so in case your click earnings don't work, you can strive to rank high in the SERPs. also, sometimes human mind tend to ignore the ads that they knew before, whether they are bordered or not/blending or not. so some people say, you can try putting those ads in another places in a routine manner. my ideas.
Just experiment. That is what channels are for. Put 2 banners up (2 channels) and put them in a rotation 50:50 for 2-4 weeks and see which one performs best. After that eliminate the one that performs less. That is your way to go
I used a border on one of my adsense bars thinking it made the ads 'blend in' better with my content (which is also surrounded by a black, 1px border). After reading this I'm going to take the border off and see what happens to my ctr. Thanks for the info!
