The REASON GOOGLE is slow

Its obvious why google is slow at indexing and crawling websites! Because it means a better search for us.

Google will see your website the second it goes live, but it will give it a trial period and wait a week or 2 before indexing.

There is 1 main reason, if google indexed the same day, it would mean loads of dead links, people build their website and some people will give up within a couple of days, Imagine all the sites you clicked on in google search being dead or half built? Its to give time for the site to build in quality, as soon as google has given it the trial period, it will be listed. .info domains take months to get indexed sometimes, this is due to the spamming side that has been happening with these domains, with Acai berries for example.

Do you be put down waiting, it will get indexed and crawled, just not as soon as you would wish! Google does it on purpose, its not getting lazy like another thread in this forum would suggest.

Without google, it would be scary!

Its rather clear, do you really ever click on a link in google that has a broken link that has died because of newbies giving up? or a half done website? No! its because google is clever, its a tactic, not google getting lazy, if they where lazy they would fall in the stock market and died! But they have not, its rather obvious, my site took around 2 weeks to index which isnt bad, but another of my sites is a .info site and its taken 4 months and its still not indexed, but google is still looking at your site and rating it, they just want to give you a chance to build quality, not just quantity onto their searches!

I would rather 1 relevant search page than 1,000,000 results that are dead, half finished or totally irrelevant

My theory makes perfect sense in my eyes, so keep on the ball, make a quality meaningful site and google will put you up their if you deserve it, if you dont get listed, keep waiting, you will in the end and if you have a website with pure and original content, you will get a massive boom in traffic when you are indexed and you will love the fact it took so long because it will be so rewarding, google is improving, not getting worse! It owns the market and will never be kicked because of its clever mathematically and technical side, which makes it a great search engine to use!

The OP is pointing about new sites, once you are established google will give more priority to your website.

My wordpress blogs indexed in less than 2 mins. Initially indexing took some days.

You make sense. Besides that they have so called 'sand box'. And you're absolute right that I've never seen a dead link in google and it makes sense to wait a while before indexing new sites.

Pretty much yeah, I agree. Takes time mostly because of dead sites and spammers.

How would google know when a site goes live ?

It needs back links to find a site, then will normally only crawl the page linked to and put the rest in the next deep crawl que.... that's how it has always worked s far as i know.

Yep this makes sense, most new sites have quite a few errors that need sorting out, so it would sense for them to wait a while.

i think google index pages or site depends on the site up gradation timings
like if i update my blog or site daily it will check my page daily to get index.
and if i do it on month then it come to my blog just twice a month.

Google know everything, remember when you search on google it stores your information, when you make a site, google will be pinged that information in seconds, with or without backlinks, google constantly watches you, which keeps them WAY ahead of the game, as soon as you register the domain it will be keeping a crawling eye on the domain, until bang! its ready to go!

I'm afraid you're right. That may be the reason(s) to why Google is slow. I hate when they're slow! I want my websites indexed faster.

But Google hasn't discovered my sites yet, 2 weeks and webmaster tools account show nothing.

Just wait and they will appear are they .info by any chance or weightloss orientated or fitness? As these take much longer to index, this includes, medical also.
