Definitely a sneaky way to change the code. Lying to us publishers =\ How stupid do they think we are?
I updated my code, because in the email they said their widgets are faster loading now. My widgets definitely aren't loading faster, it was just a ploy to get rid of that hidden link code.
I'm seeing faster loads on my site and a couple others that have WidgetBucks. Still a little slow, but half the delay I noticed before. Very unscientific measurement, of course. But noticeable improvement.
