Does anyone have much of an idea of what actually is working in Google at the moment and what has been penalised for so many sites to be dropped completely?
For the Main Keyword I have been experimenting with... the Datacenters 66.102.9.* & 66.102.11.* (Jagger3?) are very screwed up! I have put together a chart to show the placement of the "steady" top ten for my Keyword search. As you can see 66.102.11.104 displaces more than half of the TOP TEN sites right now. Here is a link to a previous comparison... http://www.mcdar.net/KeyToolCompare9_15_05.jpg I think there is something terribly wrong going on there. IMHO Caryl
Im curious as to how these rankings looked pre-Jagger. Looking at these datacenters, it looks like this is from Jagger 3. My site came back in these datacenters for a bunch of terms, and my results are very similar to pre-Jagger results as far as I can tell. I also have a site that has come out of the sbox on these datacenters, which is great. Personally I hope that these results propagate.
About the same here...Some slight variations, but for anything I care about ....same. A lot of secondary terms relating to my industry are bringing me visitors today. -first time I have seen since the world got shaken up.
Please look at the graph again. The Dates are clearly marked the first column is September 15th and just under the dates you will see the IP addresses of the datacenter where the results came from.
One of 3 things: 1) they are not done updating 2) those sites have been penalized 3) new variables have been added If I were to take a wild guess...I would put my $ on #1.
I don't understand what is happening... didn't cutts say that the real results were the ones from the 66.102.9 datacenter? And weren't those results supposed to be propagating already? Because I still see no difference at all in my rankings, they are the ones from the 66.102.7 datacenter...
My results have been the same all day. Google October Event - Jagger BUT - Right from the very beginning, the results from this Update have slowly rolled out. Some folks saw no effects until days into the update. Some saw changes back around September 22nd. I think that we are all noticing "effects" but we might be at very different "stages" of the event. Example: The sort of results I am seeing today - you may not see until tomorrow or the next day. I am trying to keep extensive documentation BUT it is only for my own site. We have no other documantation to verify how I believe these results are staggered out. The only thing I know is that this thing certainly is not over!!!! Caryl
Quite the opposite, the keyword tracker tool from DP started showing my rankings from the 66.102.7 datacenter today, so I just have no idea of what is happening, but I sure couldn't be happier, I am breaking my visitors record today on one of my sites
Interesting Fryman, See that is what was happening this morning with my site however starting late afternoon everything started changing again. I also noticed over night I gained alot on the main google results. I bet tommorrow everything will be another big change.
This is so unpredictable, I remember the middle of last week after jagger 2 had been running for awhile GG posted that we were seeing jagger 1 reults on the data centers. so who knows what results are really on there right now..I believ it is a mixture of everything.. who knows.
I think that the results look better but there still needs to be some additional indexed files added to the mix because I had tons more files indexed before Jagger started and now I have many less files.
Not much sense in paying attention to things still. I noticed huge improvements according to the API today, but traffic is only 70% of prejagger levels, so until it gets more stable, i'm continuing to ride the wave.
Wow, I almost fainted when I did another check... it seems that all my rankings from the 66.102.7 datacenter have passed onto the 66.102.9 one... I used to have a difference of 20 spots in rankings between those 2, now they are the same
