The ranking tools shows the wrong result for my URL

I have used a few tools to check my SERP. One tool I have used is this one:
    http://link.ezer.com/tools/google_serps_rank_checker.asp

The thing is that the tools gives me the wrong information. With one tool I'm on position 62 for the keyword "motocross" and with another tool I'm on position "47" with the same keyword.

The tool I linked to in this post gives me different positions for different countries.

www.google.ca gives me position 38 for example, but my site is not listed at that position.

Do you know why it is like this?

Because most of the tools are not accurate.

also, if you are logged into google, there is a chance that you are getting "semi" peronsalize results for your searchs.

google has several datacenters and results are pulled form different datacenter based on user location. so even if the tool shows one ranking, you might not see yourself at that rank due to you being on different geography. happens all the time unless you are on the same rank across all the datacenters. and since different tools are run from different location, results are not the same either. its not that something is wrong with the tools, just geography issue

    The results are accurate.

Some Google SERP useful tips for you guys:

    SERPs for google.com/search?q=keyword&num=10
The results are different than [ num > 10 ]
    eg: SERPs for google.com/search?q=keyword&num=20
you may try num=50 or num=100

Most of time: when you use num>10 the SERPs will list all same domain name sites together at once.

So when you check top num=100 serps shall have most "your_domain.com/" all listed together too.

So I think the tool still give you very good information.

By the way recently I made a new SERP checker tool which can check up to TOP 1000 SERPs
    eg: www.SeoSerp.com
    Suggestions are welcome.
