Well with my limited PS skills, it is taking ages to come up with some fairly mediocre banners. Is there any online tool/software which can help me in making quick customizable banners ?

    Cheers

The best way to be quick and involves no artistic creativity is to use tutorials.

    Personally I love Pixel2Life.com

A good tip is to make a simple banner with some text/images on and then run it through Animation Shops preset effects. Some quite good settings there that will bring a simple banner to life. Depends if you want animation or not though.

IMHO, If you can't do by yourself, it's better to pay someone and have a good job done.
A crappy banner will make much more damages in your wallet then paying a graphic.
A second chance would be seduce a graphic designer and have the banners for free....
I'm working on this option actually... ;-)
