I have received the same message, so this is the end of Adbrite ads on proxies. I have never been accepted by Adversal, and they give neboulus reasons if any. So I am displaying www.popads.net popunders but I am in need for an Adbrite replacement for banners etc. Does anybody have a good idea (not Smowtion and TrafficRevenue) ?
Woohooo so AdBrite is out :-/ (Even i got that msg) I was planning to get back into proxies but with just adversal i dont think the earnings will be decent!
Tech-faq (now topbits) is now pretty well only .tk and .co.cc . My adverting budget does not go there anymore!
TechFAQ/Topbits became useless long ago for proxy submitters who don't spam free domain proxy sites. You can get better results at sites where free domains are banned.
Unless something comes up as an alternative for monetizing the profixy pages we will have "serious" problem as one after the other the adv companies are kicking out proxies.
New proxies list site for your proxies. (Just proxies, not for proxy lists, proxy blogs, etc etc). You can submit your proxy and have it listed for free. But you do have to reciprocate and have our link on your proxy first or I will not accept your proxy. You can purchase a top spot for $1.99 for 30 days. No reciprocating needed then. Newest Proxies
Why? I'm sure soon after you make it you will realize how unprofitable it is and why ad companies don't like advertising with proxies.
Now that was a brilliant observation there by Guthix! I am hearing more and more from proxy owners that the days of profits are over. Too many people using proxies are blind to ads.
It's not even that, its just the fact that proxy users don't convert well. Most people use proxies at school. How often have you bought something online from a school computer?
I have another idea to potentially monetize proxies. One could start a service (Or partner up with the owner of such a service) that brings natural traffic to Youtube videos (Some people are always looking to inflate their views artificially) or websites. Just put the client's video/website on all your proxies and the client pays for whatever traffic you bring them. Given the amount of people that visit most proxies, it probably wouldn't be hard to send a decent amount of traffic?
but the proxies are used mainly for unblocking youtube so how you can expect the proxy user contribute the youtube views as they are banned for them
I am not sure I understand, but http://proxy.org/forum/glype-proxy-discussion/247-how-properly-encode-quicklinks.html Configure a link to take them to a particular youtube video?
One of my two servers was down for 18 hours at the weekend - turned out to be just a faulty cable. Naturally my income is way down since then....painful.
