i host them with VPS sellers I found in DP hosting sections. I have tried several of them. some are good some are bad. you need to try them and you will know. ^^ Anyway. this thread reached to 777th page congrats!!
I'm hosting with ServInt. They're plans are extremely great, but they don't allow open proxies on their basic VPS plans. But once you get a higher plan, they're support is amazing. I put out two support tickets needing help setting up my server, and both were answered within 10 minutes and the support went on for about 40 minutes before I was done. I've thought about WDServers, and while they're great, chances are their server IP range is already banned on lots of sites like MySpace and Facebook.
Proxy is one way of making money, but the great problem is hosting of proxy websites. I have been suck by some hosting providers. If you do not mind, which are the best proxy hosting providers?
Proxy desert ? metaphorically, no traffic, no money, no hopes... a desert everywhere... the summer holiday. http://test.scoilnet.ie/res/crosswords/desert.jpg
I've found fdc servers to be the most value-for-money and for really budget shared hosting, i would go with xproxyhost, techentrance. Going into June soon where the entire proxy business will go into hibernation.
If you are just starting to learn about proxies, shared hosting would be enough. When the time comes as you master the trick to get and maintain your traffic, that will be the time to switch to at least a vps with 512mb minimum ram. Most people want to earn much and spent less thus resulting in buying cheap vpses and then coming here crying over "poor" performance.
Bingo! Get prepare for proxy summer dessert! Earn as much as you can and get relax and off for 3 months
the best, but harder to customize than phproxy if youre a newbie in the field. Another one you might want to look at is CGI proxy, but it's even more difficult to customize
So when can we expect this Proxy-Recession ??? And how long will we have to wait until the good times are back ? Also just in case if you need advertising (Banners) take at look a this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1329042
