I tried because i submitted to a huge list of proxy directories, i used some newsletter, bought somewhere a bold listing but the traffic always dyied and my group members always report them as blocked in 1 - 2 days.
Websense is a very expensive protocol to use aswell.. Not all schools in the U.S and Canada can use websense because it cost big bucks.
What type of content do you use? Avoid the standard "unblocker" type text, as these keywords pay less than other keywords.
I replaced the text yesterday, i used "unblocker" and security related keywords because i tried before to use something else but dropped my CTR but now i'm sure the "proxy" related keywords are the less paying, around 0,05 $. Btw most people click the sites using proxy related keywords and avoid the others, this is what i saw on the proxy lists.
Ey guys, my proxy listing site is doing well. I think you guys should try to convert your good porxy site site to a proxy listing site. Good luck!`
I know for a fact my sites are blocked from most schools 90% of the traffic on one of my sites comes from iran, none from china as china banned it 90% on another of my sites comes from china, none from iran as iran bannd it I still have been making more than the previous day, every day for the last 2 weeks Up to about $4/day now Edit: Btw, the only time i do experience traffic drop is when its about 8pm for me (im in ontario canada), the traffic drops to almost 0!
What script do you guys use for proxy newsletters? I'm looking for a simple, preferably free, script that's easy to implement anywhere.. And, how is the Adsense Proxy theme running? Cloakhost DirectAdmin is down again, this is getting ridiculous...
I have been using google groups for a little while now, tried a few other solutions (yahoo groups, a php based newsletter) but they sucked.
My full server spec's are.. Dual Xeon E5410 Harpertown 2.33Ghz (oct(8)-core/64bit support) 16GB DDR2 2x 750GB SATAII 100Mbit port - full duplex Unmetered transfer How much of this RAM and HD is in use for only 4 proxies?!
I was thinking of trying Twitter instead of newsletters. But I'm not sure if students/regular proxy users does use twitter that much.. Has anyone tried this? Twitter is very simple, yet very effective, and by building a good follower list I think this could be successful.
For who are interest, am selling a proxy listening submission script without or with unique template. More information: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1193372
Tips: For every new proxy you created, put a sign up box on your main page as well as your proxified page.
My Google group has grown to about 1350 subscribers just by placing it on my proxies. People trust Google, and it's easy to send messages.
