Hey guys, what are the general ways to promote your sites? Do topsites work? Rumours of school/college admins looking at topsites and blocking all the proxies? If they do work, any script which adds your site to lots? I know there was a script, but there were lots of problems and nobody buys it now as hes stopped working on it. Thanks.
Can anyone answer my previous question about canep media? Can you use one site with multiple spots to use across all your proxies?
The best way to promote a proxy site is via a topsite and a group newsletter. Topsites can often be out performed by newsletter because of the fact that they change so much and that there are so many other proxys one can click on. Newsletters on the other hand are sent direct to their email and they can just click your site from there. We have both a topsite and a new letter going out to over 15,500 members every day. Hope this helps.
No one here works for Canep that I know of. So why take there word for it. If it is a major concern of yours then I am sure Canep has a way to contact them and ask about there policy or tos.
Topsites do bring some of my traffic (especially "bold listing" or such -- for normal listing, i guess no significant amount). And newsletter does. Although my proxy is not a big one but that's the main source of my traffic. Actually i am thinking that admin blocks common proxy top sites too, but i still get some traffic lol.
Topsites wont do any good unless you are one of the people who can manipulate your ranking on them. Now proxy lists on the other hand are sort of productive. Buying highlighted or bolded spots on some can be a good means of traffic.
I'm still looking for some good proxy promotion services.. Something with decent U.S traffic too.. topsites do not work..

Looks good but the idea of scrolling backlinks...not too good. Including myself, not many listing sites will accept sites with scrolling backlinks.

Cloakhost have been down all day. Anyone else who have experienced this today? My new promoted proxy will die from this. After today, I will be changing proxy host. Has anyone tried the new Adsense Proxy theme yet?
Sorry about this mate, I know how bad it is when a host goes down (I was with IwhiC when they had big problems). Hope you get some sort of compensation
