Anyone here have a lot of experience with CGIProxy? I have a few questions I wanted to ask and the forums are just flooded with spam.

    Thanks

I had a couple questions. I have it setup right now with SSL and after logging in successfully to facebook clicking any links gives me the following error:
    Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /nph-proxy.cgi/000010A/http/www.facebook.com/profile.php=3fid=3d194001865=26ref=3dprofile on this server.

Which is weird because I can login just fine and access the front page, and goto sites like myspace.

My server log gives this error:
[Fri Jan 09 15:18:48 2009] [error] [client IP] client denied by server configuration: /var/www/www.juvos.com/htdocs/nph-proxy.cgi, referer: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?

    Odd.

My next question concerns the use of index.php instead of /nph-proxy.cgi. Is this just done with rewrite rules to make it look better (nph-proxy.cgi doesn't look as nice as index.php or something else)? If not how is this done?

And lastly, I know that using the worker (threaded) module with php is highly advised against because of threading instances of php like it does are not good. What I was wondering is could you use the worker module when just using this cgi script? Any downsides in threading it? Not sure how that would work..I know serving static html content threaded is fine...but I'm assuming this CGI script would fall in the same lines as PHP. Just not 100% sure.

Anyways, hope someone can answer some if not all of these.

    Thanks

tell now I tried to find solution ,but I can not
I downloaded e-books about proxy and I have read threads and topics through google search ,but e-books and topics discuss how to make money and profits with proxy none of them tell me about how to design proxy pages in my computer .
not problem ,but if I can make thread in which I can ask my questions and find answers in this forum or any forum in other site ,please tell me about.

First should learn some basics about making a simple website and only after make your own template.

Just choose a free proxy template, upload it, add Adsense and promote your site.

migha, I don't mean to come off too harsh, however it seems you are in need of basic webmaster skills which you will only gain over time from reading and experience. A lot of knowledge is needed to create proxy templates, so you will not be successful unless you are proficient in web design and XHTML / CSS. There is no official guide to coding proxies that I know of, it is mostly just intuition from analysing how existing templates are put together. If you are die hard desperate to create your own template, create a photoshop image of how you want the site to look and then pay a coder $15-20 to turn it into a working template.

migha you could try creating easier websites first like simple content websites - it will help you learn a lot about website design and then enter the world of scripts

Yes I agree, I started fooling around with CMS's and basic templates, PHP etc when I was 18 with a homeserver and cjb.net. That gives me about 5 years of experience already, and I didn't actually start messing around with Adsense etc until last year. As with most other people here they probably have a few a years under their belt of some experience. Like anything you can't just jump into it , if that was true I was love to jump on my Piano and play some mozart pieces but it ain't happening I have no experince, But I can play happy birthday. XD

bluemouse2, that's no problem at all.

Does anyone have a list of proxy webmaster emails? (perhaps from owning a proxy toplist or what not)
I want to spread the word about my affiliate program... I would just need 1 newsletter blast.

    Please PM if you have!

Free ads is not effective compare to paid ads.
You can do some link buying with other proxy owner.
Or if you have some money to spent, why not buy ads at proxy.org

I've bought a listing on a proxy list, but the incoming traffic isn't big enough.
Did you mean i buy a link on a proxy owner or proxy list owner?

I only can afford to buy the yellow ads on proxy.org, but i doubt, there are too many yellow listing there. How could a visitor find mine?
