my first month in proxy business and last 30 days made me revenue from adsense : $198 revenue from banners : $240 revenue from links : $174 Little revenue from adversal, adbrite, CPAleads, Chitika expenses were good as well of about $280 + $55 hosting cost as it was the first month but no recurring expenses for proceeding months except $99 for the server

I prefer glype. It's really all about your own opinion. Also which template you plan to use if you're going to use a free one as some templates aren't coded for all types of proxies
i used some newsletter promotion + topsites listings + email blasts although everyone here says email blasts are the best sources to get traffic but i din't find much change even after many email blasts of 5-20k members newsletter promotion was good but not for long term deals as users who subscribe to newsletters are mostly the one's who need new proxies everyday topsites was so far the best way of promotion for me and especially bold listing on proxy.org i got one of my sites listed on proxy.org for 1 month and got 8k visits from it and now even after its validity is over i am getting over 1k uniques a day and increasing with 20-30 users a day on that proxy and 70% traffic is from US and 15% from India for good earnings you must choose the right script + no excessive advertisements + stable server with good speed to have returning users And the foremost thing in proxy promotion is word of mouth so the more returning users you have the more will you be having recommendations
nice tip proxified ..specially i run away from top sites.they not bring any traffic to my proxies.but that is not the same with proxylists.

don't know but i have bought bold listings on many listings but none of them were successful as they din't gave value for money only i found 3 sites that gives us value for money proxy.org proxytoolbox.com azproxies.com but when i bought greenlistings on proxytoolbox there were no other competetors there with green/red listings but now i saw there are many so dont know if it would fetch good or not proxy.org is good for sure if you are focusing on only 1-2 proxies not the whole network as i am also going to buy green listing on proxy.org for 250 for one of my proxy which is have continuous 1 week alexa under 100,000 and fetches me good CPC whenever you list any of your sites on proxy.org ensure that the proxy is CGI and its SSL as most of the hits will be generated from CGI listings and SSL listings Here i am writing few tips for all proxy owners on how to monetize them at their best * The best template so far i found is underground template which gives the best CTR rate so its better you get a custom template or modified underground template for your proxies with some unique text content written in it for good CPC good CTR + good CPC = good earnings * if you want to leave your proxies on standby mode and make good money from them leaving all your worries forget adversal/adbrite/banners and leave proxified pages intact for higher number of returning visitors If you dont want to leave the proxified pages blank then you can add text links or slim horizontal banners which doesnt takes much space * Try adding maximum text content on your index page as you can * use britepic for your images on your site for some free money if you dont have any images then add 1-2 at footer * Dont compromise on hosting costs as the faster your proxy is the more recommendations it will have so better go for cheap dedicated or semi dedicated servers * Dont keep direct links to any sites like youtube/bebo/facebook/orkut/myspace as if user will have direct access to these sites then they will never scroll down just to click your ads * everyone says that CHINA traffic is of no good - thats wrong china traffic is good if you can find chinese advertisers or advertising companies else just go for some adult popup advertising which pay good eCPM and they are least bothered about the geotargetting. Don't worry you wont loose visitors in that case as most of the china visitors use proxy sites for adult content itself which you can check anytime in your logs * Keep seperate proxies for china/iran/russia/brazil traffic where you can use any other ad network except adsense which will pay you good and seperate one's for the premium traffic to use adsense * if you have PR in your proxies then use various links brokerage services for a stable monthly income * dont add 100's of links to your proxies as it gives a bad impact on search engines * Last but not the least if you are good at marketing and have got high traffic proxies sell banner space on proxified pages or sell traffic through iframes EDIT : Another thing which i forgot to mention - another topmost ways to monetize your proxified pages is to advertise your own other sites there
proxified..i'm with you and agree for all tips.and yes u are right.. i can say the same for iran traffic..if they are useless traffic for adbrite/adversal this is not the same for adsense...last year i earn more 700$+ month only from iran traffic.
being an absolute newbie into webmasters business as well as to proxy business i dont know about last year but i heard that the things were way too different and earnings were about 20 times better than now even because of bad stock market conditions CPC is falling down with a rapid rate another way to monetize iran traffic is to make your heavy traffic proxy to subscription proxy and make $4/month subscriptions if you are getting 30k unique visitors a month and even 1% of it converts to paid one then you make $1200/month just get a good dedicated server with a SSL which wont cost more than $150/month Thats it now enjoy with iran/china/arabic traffic I am also working on subscriptions based proxy alike proxify.com
To do it like proxify, you need to have a very good server which I doubt will cost less than $150/mth. And a network of VPN for your customer. That's how proxify do it.

Yes, prixified has been really kind sharing some extremely valuable infos on proxies... I think, if you are new to this market like I am, you will need to put all of that into practice which is far from being easy but his post is certainly a good summary of what you have to do. Question : I get some good traffic (US mainly) but still my alexa rank is very low (<4M)? why is that and how can I fix it?
