I have a base download limit of X mb, if its over that the user gets hit with a captcha If it is under that limit it goes through as normal if it is above limit Z it just gets denied. Cut out 99.99% of the abuse on my proxy. People liked to just keep on clicking refresh and redownloading the same thing 1000s of times Once a group of IPs used over 400gb on bullshit downloads (repeating over and over every X seconds) in the space of like half a week at the most Some strange people out there! I also have unique urls, so a url you generate will only work for you and not on 1000s of other bots combine all of that with blocking iran and china and there basically is no abuse to report and i it pisses of the users they can go to any one of the new 102012 proxys that day, no real issue for me

I don't think that domain is a problem. When I bought my site(secretipaddress.com), it was a show my ip kind of site, but I changed it to a proxy information site now.

I've found advertising on mailing lists and social networking sites work best - as those people would be likely to check them at school/work.
You need to add your google search adsense id (there is a special id for search) to config.php for the theme. I mainly left the search code in there as an example because it has css styles added to the google code. Sounds like I need to fix a few things with this theme and upload it again.
