Yeah but I think most of my European / American traffic is from schools, so I expect a traffic drop from about 50 / 75% .
Yeah, you can see traffic decreasing already And yes mates, some people can't access the sites Do you guys know good proxy hosts? Where do you host your proxies? Ref links may be Pm'ed later if you help me good now Thanks for second part of tutorial @Submitting to toplists, I will only submit my proxies to proxy.org because, I saw the traffic I got from submission is only from there... Other directories for proxies aren't giving me much traffic... Greetz
Hi All, I have some great aged proxy domains with PR and alexa. They have backlinks and have been listed on several proxy list sites. My server is crowded and I have some fantastic deals. Check the thread here if you are interested. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=888952 And some other proxy niche domains here: http://www.dnlodge.com/forums/sites-for-sale/10118/ Thanks!
Does anyone know how to resolve the following error? I get it on a new proxy I setup. When you enter a URL, the proxy doesn't work and I get the following: URL Error (-1077752960): An error has occured while trying to browse through the proxy. Failed to connect to the specified host. Possible problems are that the server was not found, the connection timed out, or the connection refused by the host. Try connecting again and check if the address is correct.
You can submit your proxy sites to www.meoso.com You can get lot of traffic, I have got around 500+ visitors everyday.
try browsing to somewhere that should always work like google.com and see if you have the same problem... if you can't browse to google, then chances are it's either a dns or a firewall issue on your server...
topsites do work as a handy backlink if your looking at grabbing keywords - they are ideal for new proxies as they bring in fresh traffic which means adsense.
How about submit your proxy to www.proxywhereabouts.com I'm sure it can help bringing traffic as I constantly see people visiting my site.
Thanks for your help. I resolved the issue. It was a coding problem with the URL Form. Mentos - its php proxy. Thanks guys!
Traffic does drop, just be ready for when it is back up again Thanks to everyone who PM'd me regarding the ebook, some will be given a review copy I made $1,500 in the first month and this is still very possible. I congratulate you all for going the proxy route as its a great way to start out online. I'll probably write up a free article here on how to keep traffic going during the summer months Peace Glen
Here is my problem with proxies... I had (still have) three proxy sites that I hosted on my dedicated server. One day traffic jumped so high that the server was dying every 10 to 20 minutes. I tried to optimize but could not find a solution. I have disabled the proxies (still making some money from the clicks on the home pages)... what kind of a server should one have to be able to host a popular proxy site/s? Mine is 2GB RAM and Dual Core CPU. Thanks.

is a good server , try to block China or countries from Asia who waste the resources. your server should resist to at least 2000 - 3000 people / day , exception the new beta versions of glype, i tested with a beta glype and crushed very easy my server too with only few users.
Damn it too you two years to make a post? wow Anyway, anyone think it's a good idea to have many proxies since hosting fees do come and eat out profits?
