Its going the other way for my proxies. They are making more in summer than they did when school was on. No real change in advertising yet its averaging at higher earnings than usual.
Yes true guys! Adult is blocked in China etc. So in the beginning you need them, but when they take too much bandwidth, you must block their IP's... It's hard, but it's reality
thx for advices im changing my header i will make it in flash better looking and saving for bandwidth
for notice Aquarezz your proxies aint loading im tryna accessing them it says " Page Load Error " In Firefox
Hi mate yes there will be a large decrease during summer and earnings will no doubt drop drastically however i dont feel that people should just dismiss proxy sites in summer, they are still in demand however because there are so many proxy sites around with the demand falling the market is literally saturated with unused proxy sites during summer. My method for this summer will be SEO for proxy sites i currently have an on going tutorial on search engine optimisation for proxy sites, just in time for september (when people return to school) so that your traffic will be more stable during the next term. Have a look here: http://www.back-links.org/Search-engine-optimization-for-a-proxy-site.php Part 2 is also uploaded. I recommend you do not submit to any topsites for one they tend never to really send any traffic to proxy sites, they also enforce that a link is put on your own website and they slow down your website and make it look tacky oh and are a waste of time. Submission sites are ok, as they do not force you to put a link on your website however some have the same effect (or not) as top sites. Will.
Topsites are not a waste of time. I used to think the same, but I saw a site called proxylegend.com, and it was fairly new and was already under 300K in Alexa, I noticed he submitted to like 100 topsites and has spammed all over the place, so I try to recreate that, so I went and submitted to about 45 of such topsites with my site bbhistory.info and it went to Alexa 356,000 with about 3 weeks. Then it slowly died though, as you can see in the alexa graph and if you compare Proxylegend.com and bbhistory.info Alexa graphs you will there very similar. They spike and die off in similar fashion.
Ok i am sure there have been people who have succeeded with topsites however in my experience i feel the time and effort taken to submit to proxy topsites and also add their link to your website there is much better ways to increase traffic. In answer to another guy: Yes UK schools end about 15th- 20th july.
Proxies seems good and I was thinking about buying proxy hosting from strikedata.com and placing Google Ads on my proxy. Since I am at school i can easily promote it and is creating a myspace account for the proxy and adding people a good way to advertise? I have around £15 to get it started.
Thats great mate however perhaps leave it til september now when people are back at school you will be more succesful then, just read up on proxies for now.
Well mate, I don't agree with that. One of the main marketing methods I still use is topsites submission. Yes, most do require a reciprocal link back from the proxy but it takes a minute to copy/paste the link and upload. There are probably hundreds of topsites but the quality topsites do send traffic (short term and long term) and thereby increase your earnings. The only negative point with topsites is the time they take to list a new proxy site.
any one want to exchange a link b in my proxy www.block.co.nr Google PageRank 3 ,, alexa rank 796,240 , Sites Linking In More Than 150 Pm Me If interested the link will be placed In My Proxies List Page www.block.co.nr/proxylists.html and if anybody also want to exchange banners please pm
Wow, well ok it looks like some people still depend on top site traffic, well in my opinion there are far better ways to spend the time increasing traffic. However if it works for you then fine I just feel that they slow down your proxy site (if you have lots of them atleast) they look unprofessional, it costs your proxy site link juice (if you are wanting to increase pagerank)and there are a lot of them which do not send much traffic at all, however i guess if you know which ones work then fair enough.
I am in the UK too mate, and yes people are still at school but considering it may take you a week to get your proxy site up, running, and traffic being sent to the website. That puts you in to July then you have a matter of 3 weeks to earn from the site then most schools will close.
