now is the time to learn all the tricks, so when fall comes along you will be a guru and reap in all that cash. @power2b I wouldn't be posting domains you want to registar, someone might grab it. If you can, reg the .info &.com & practice/use the .info now & then in the fall release the .com. By then you'll probably be able to create a network & make some good money. cheap proxy hosting: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=837933 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=663099 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=854967 more: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/search.php?searchid=12564176
I started a zelune proxy site recently. I'm wondering if I should block Saudi and Iranian traffic. Any suggestions?
Go for a cheap hosting like cmodz-hosting. As regards to BW, I must say, it depends on your promotion and how much visitors you have but average I think 10-30 GB. Get started and you'll gain more experience. Goodluck
It's up to you. I've blocked their traffic to prevent my adsense account from being smart priced. I had an Saudi arabia user which were using 2 GB bandwidth a day
For people planning on starting proxy sites now, the timing is bad however this does not mean do not start. If your thinking about having the proxy site for a while then why not develop it now and take advantage of the time you have to rank highly for the proxy keywords. This will ensure you will be receiving a nice stable flow of proxy traffic just in time for everyone going back to school. Just my idea, however thats because i have hosting for free, well cheap. I am going to be writing an article tomorrow on how to SEO a proxy site, it will obviously take in to account most of the SEO basics however i shall just aim it at people developing proxy sites. I shall post the link here tomorrow.
take a look at www.psdproxies.com latest post to help out whilst surviving summer http://psdproxies.com/summer-proxy/
Here is my new article which introduces my new experiment that will be starting in a couple of days, it is basically to prove that SEO on a proxy site is definitely worth it and that the benefits that it can have are worth time time and effort. Here you go: http://www.back-links.org/Search-engine-optimization-for-a-proxy-site.php I will be updating the article weekly, to make a sort of archive on seo for proxy sites. Hopefully this will help many readers.
I think you mean proxified pages Here you go: http://www.freeproxytemplates.com/adversal-adbrite-proxy/
Some proxy owner are earning 90% of their income from proxified pages. I don't care if visitors go away as long as I don't earn money. . But I suggest don't place many ads there to bother the visitors.
definitely you should monetize that ad space. cpm based ads on proxied pages are your bread and butter income, and in my case last month accounted for about 70% of my revenue...
Top bar is the main income for proxy owner. But, which do you think earned most, 1x 728x90 or 2x 468x60?
I have great deal of luck using the 728x90 double stacked and one in the footer of the proxified page. So long as there are no pop ups they will use your site if it works for them.
I used to do really well using the google search bar however i had a strategy for implementing the search bar in to my website.
