    guys,
I'm about to jump in this proxy biz ... but first i would like to know about "bandwidth vs income" ratio generally.

say, how much $$ do you make per GB?
I would prefer the earning from proxified ads using adbrite (banner only ... OR banner + full page ads)
is full page ad allowed on proxified pages?

    thanks for your input :)

i don't think we can calculate the income / GB , there are other factors involved, full page ads are allowed

yup, I know it's hard to "calculate" ... I just wanted to "imagine" income vs hosting fee which will require a LOT of bandwidth.

I guess, I'll just try for a month or two then ;)

Try using kmkhost run by Kaung here on the forums. Different priced packages and a really cool/helpful guy to chat with.

It all depends on how many sites you intend to run and of course you can limit the filesizes that your users will be allowed to download which will save you BW.

    Good luck

    Some of my ideas ...

A possible cause for the traffic issues , how i see it today
There are limits everywhere one of them can be the huge number of proxies, because let's say 10.000 proxies / 1.000.000 people searching for proxies each day is not the same with 350.000 proxies / 1.000.000 users.

Maybe you will think that proxies are blocked fast and the market has no limits but the blocked one can be yours .

A huge number means less visitors , less income like in any other bussiness .

Less proxies means the users are stuck with your proxy even if they like it or not

From the owner point of view is better to be less proxies on the market

From the user or community point of view is better to be more proxies, to have many choices + this should bring better quality of the service.

so can I run a proxy on my site, on a seperate page, I want to use my site for multipurposes (say my hosting service allow proxies), That gets me even better traffic right. At the moment my site is just a blog, and gets around 5000 traffic a month, but I also want to use it for a proxy. so a blog/proxy. Is this possible. Running a script for a proxy, which isn't at the homepage of the site? I just want the proxy to be an additional feature to my site. btw if anyone want's to check out my site and give ideas its : http://canmarketers.info

I think it's the SE traffic part which make these dead ones found by some & get spread like crazy. Listing your dead ones is proxy.org could do wonders. :D

It didn't die. Just overslept a bit. :D

Use Visitors section is Analytics to find who came in masses. Most probably people in one institution. [ Visitors > Network location ]

Adsense is paying me less than 1 cent per click :(
    19 clicks = 17 cents

My sites are all new, I'm getting traffic from all over but the majority is from US and UK (none from China or India they are banned)

Is it likely that I've been smart priced or perhaps my keywords just suck?
I am just using a free templete with pretty standard proxy content.
A few key words like Myspace, bebo etc.
