Sorry, thought it's all about blocking unwanted traffic

If your itself host is blocking bandwidth hungry traffic, here is really much you can do at your end to unblock it :(

search for IP Deny Manager you will see the blocked IPs there , to allow China and others i think you only need to delete the blocked IP ranges

Tech Entrance blocks IP's at the firewall level which means the IP's are completely nullrouted and the server won't respond at all to their queries in or out. So clients can't do anything about it.

We only block China and Iran. They cause problems, not only bandwidth, but abuse in general with bots and e-mail spam. I don't want the servers going down because of being overloaded by bots or being nullrouted because of spam. This is better for the proxy client as well because he saves on useless bandwidth because you can't monetize those countries, its a waste of effort.

I know this question has been asked a thousand times, but can anyone suggest any reliable and CHEAP hosts?

The reliable ones I see in this thread are too expensive... I'd be at a loss every month.

Wow man, no offense but thats really terrible spelling. The first 3 words really
threw me off and I couldn't understand what you wrote.[IMG]

I agree. Iran traffic can't be monetized there is U.S trade sanctions against them. Not monetizible.

but maybe the clients know how to make money through china traffic
by using china ad programs ,CPM ,etc

so wont it better ,you ask them before blocking ...
or maybe by putting an option there for them to choose between blocking them or not

    about the BDW usage
US traffic wont use that much BDW at all cause they just use proxies for myspace, orkut ,...

well if i order and pay for 250 gig BDW , that means i need that much BDW and i would like to use all of that (I know Cpanel is not showing the real BDW usage ,like if it shows 200 gig ,that could be 250 actually)

for this , i cant use techentrance and some other proxy hosts, even as you mentioned your first VPS package is blocking china

Actually VPS's don't block anything by default.

As for the being able to monetize China, I've had clients say that before many times on DEDICATED servers. Lets just say they gave up after a few months/weeks. The amount of bandwidth and abuse you get is just ridiculous, you wouldn't believe. They were consuming like 200mbps bandwidth across 3 servers. And your wanting to do this on shared/vps. Good luck is all I can say.

Yes, they do have ads but you would have to target them specifically. And then theres the abuse problem.

What? I am guessing that this is temporary. Any idea when they will start accepting sites again?

Guys please take the wird advice seriously, It isn't possible. I've tried it and i was also looking for Chinese ad program but to my knowledge there isn't any thats profitable and the abuse is another story. If your willing to risk your server to these conditions to make a few extra $$$, you really don't deserve to manage a VPS/dedicated server.

Guys please listen to the wird and his advice, its not worth it, besides your account will become smart priced in about a week or less. I had Iran and China blocked from my server and i'm recovering from my account being smart priced.

    IT ISN"T WORTH IT!!!!

If your the proxy owner out there that has a shared hosting acount and doesn't have to bother about the:

server being hacked via brute force from ftp
processes/task running at up to 200 and more,
server reaching its max clients limit every peak period
the memory running into swap which will eventually kill the server

Then your just selfish to not only your self but to others that shares the server which your hosting account is on. I have been there, i had a proxy that use to see a large amount of bandwidth every day, to be percise, it used to use around 70GB per day, the amount of users/bots using the site was incredible, during peak periods it used to always reach its Max client limit everyday which was 256 user request per second

Although my server was a Xeon processor which performs really well, it hold its own during those peak period but i new that i was abusing the server by letting this happen from day to day. Thats when i decided to Ban the trouble some Countries.

If your still thinking about finding a way to allow China & Iran to have access to your Hosting by Tech Entrance and the wird which is absolutely unlikely lol, well thats just sad..
