sounds interesting but complicated to the average user. Why not just offer them the free hosting one time?
What are the risks of submitting your proxy site to proxy.org? Can your site be crawled by websense and other filters through proxy.org?
Yeah risk is there but i don't care coz i need traffic and proxy.org always send me US traffic. Proxy.org need a link back to you by which we have to put the word "proxy.org" in our proxy which is also a risk...
Try visiting proxy.org threw a proxy it won't connect. I think Baron probably has a lot IP blocked and useragents from what I gather. It is a risk, any web filter will parse your html and find that link and will stop and slap you as proxyavoidance.
If anyone knew they wouldn't tell you, because of course this gives a competitive edge to your proxy.
make a flash proxy with weird domain name and have a friendly homepage like a forum or something it'll help it live for some months, if not few eeeks, if not for certain few more hours longer
There are some special mods that can block web filter companies from finding your proxy. WebProxyTalk.com (WPT) is in the midst of creating a new proxy script with a stealth mod to block filtering companies from finding your proxy. Just an update: The progress for our proxy script is going well right now and at this stage we will be releasing our beta on the 10th of Feb and the official release between 25th-29th Feb on WPT!
I assume you put your ads on the proxified pages? If so, how many and are there pop-ups or unders? Thanks
If you don't mind me asking, do you colocate or host at home? If you colocate, how did you find a place and how much did you pay? I have a few servers lying around but I'm unsure of the process of putting them up. Thanks
for proxy servers I just rent them as a whole since I got discounts. but I have 1 server colocated at California DC, that is used for my other site. For colocation it all depends on your server size though and the rack space you are trying to get.. as for my colocation DC, they set me up with everything and even install contorl panels and scripts for me for few extra fees. Colocating at a closer place where you can visit at times is better then shipping your servers off somewhere else far. Depending on your DC, you may have to install some on your own or they'll do them for you.
Only 1 ads at the top and bottom. Currently no plan for pop under ads until I can code my ads system to deliver only one pop under for each ip / day. Maybe later but it will make entering proxy website market too easy and risk free since you don't have to worry about anything like what kind of server, which proxy script, what to do when it's popular. All you ever loose is your domain registration and may be some advertising fee which about $10 at most but you can gain a lot
Great, now well see tons of even crappier proxy sites flood the already over-saturated market. Just what we need. LOL on second thoughts can I please use your service? I’m having an awful headache because my proxies just got popular and I don’t know what to do I think that some things *should* have a level of complexity. Like I said before, if setting up a proxy site is too complicated for you, go do something non-internet related, you will probably be happier.
Someone tell me what i am doing wrong. I got a proxy , it gets about 100 + uniques per day earnings 0.00 $ i bought the 20 $ advertisement at proxy.org yesterday dunno if anything will happen already submited my proxy to loads of sites. What should i do to improve my earnings. Link : http://www.hideplz.com
i have a 0.06% CTR now , worst of my life , never had such a CTR with any other sites , is proxy business dying slowly ?
i want to ask how good you think is to run a proxy only with adbrite , only in pop-ups , because another alternative i can't see , with such CTR can't talk about profit
i wonder why but my ctr has been constantly on a dropping trend for the past one month. it used to be 4% or so at one time is now 0.5% only
